Termotécnica highlights packaging innovations for FFLVs and expands commercial relationships in Fruit Attraction SP 2025
Termotécnica marked its presence at Fruit Attraction São Paulo 2025, held between March 25 and 27 at the São Paulo Expo. Largest manufacturer of storage solutions in EPS (styrofoam*) packaging in Latin America and leader in Brazil, the company consolidated its position in the sector and presented its complete line of solutions for fruits, flowers, legumes and vegetables (FFLVs), with the brands DaColheita and DaColheita Bio.
Positive results and market expansion
Participation in Fruit Attraction SP 2025 allowed Termotécnica to establish new contacts and strengthen relationships with customers who already use DaColheita conservers, marketed under the brand FarmFresh in the international market. Nivaldo Fernandes de Oliveira, the company’s managing director believes that in its second year in Brazil, the fair has shown significant growth, attracting not only producers, but also distributors and various links in the global chain. “Termotécnica highlighted its purpose of bringing freshness from the Field to the Table, presenting innovative post-harvest solutions. The presence of international visitors from countries in Europe and Latin America showcased Brazil’s potential in the global FFLV market and its supply chain.”
Additionally, the company made strategic contacts for promising business opportunities. The products were very well received, with particular emphasis on the DaColheita Bio line, developed with biobased and biodegradable materials, aligned with the growing demand for sustainable solutions. Another major differential was the launch of the twenty-bowl box, an innovative product that stood out at the fair due to its logistical advantages and product quality preservation.
Conserver for 20 bowls was widely accepted
One of the innovations that attracted the most attention at the fair was the DaColheita 20 bowl multi-purpose conserver. Inspired by the architecture of castles such as Neuschwanstein in Germany, the new packaging has a structured design to support weight, ensure adequate ventilation and maintain the structural integrity of the products. With a 10-kilo capacity for fruits and vegetables in bulk or 20 half-kilo bowls, the model was designed to extend the shelf-life of FFLVs and reduce logistical losses.
Customers attest to the efficacy of DaColheita packaging
· Ramiro Rosseto and his son Alisson, co-owners of Excelência Fruit, in São Miguel Arcanjo/SP, specialized in premium grapes:
“DaColheita packaging has helped us improve grape transport, ensuring better preservation and hygiene. End consumers are increasingly demanding, seeking a quality, fractionated product. Adopting these conservers has significantly increased our sales and improved the fruits’ shelf life. We intend to maintain and expand this partnership”.
· Airton Bueno, owner of Bueno & Silva Farm and Luma Fruits, in Santo Antônio da Estiva, district of Pirajuí/SP, specialized in exotic fruits such as pitaya:
“Termotécnica believed in our business from the beginning. Since our focus is the foreign market, EPS packaging provided essential thermal comfort to maintain pitaya’s quality during transport as well as meet export sanitary requirements. With DaColheita conservers, we were able to deliver a better product to the end customer”.
Termotécnica has been working in partnership with Abrafrutas, producers and trading companies, for over a decade in fruit exports. During the last six years, the company has supplied almost 2 million conservers, used in transporting over 7 thousand tons of premium fruits, such as grapes, lemons, limes, mangos, pitayas, figs, papayas, guavas, passion fruits, lychees and atemoyas. Top destinations include countries in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, China and Canada.
DaColheita solutions have been a differentiator that adds great value throughout the chain during long-distance transit times. By extending shelf life, maintaining a constant temperature and being very lightweight, DaColheita/FarmFresh packaging also contributes to sustainability aspects such as reducing losses and waste in the distribution chain and lowering CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, in addition to being 100% recyclable.
