Stowarzyszenie Krajowa Unia Producentów Soków (KUPS) także w tym roku zorganizowało obchody Światowego Dnia Soku. W ramach X edycji projektu „5 porcji warzyw, owoców lub soku” zaplanowano szereg aktywności, których celem jest popularyzacja konsumpcji soków produkowanych przez polskich producentów. Stowarzyszenie KUPS za cel postawiło sobie także promocję prozdrowotnych właściwości soków z polskich owoców i warzyw.
Dzień Soku obchodzony 30 maja na całym świecie jest okazją aby celebrować picie soków.

Research at WUR: ASPERELLO® leads the field in biological control of Pythium in cucumber crops

The biological fungicide ASPERELLO® T34 Biocontrol® is an effective control for Pythium, as shown by new research performed by Dr Marta Streminska, from the Wageningen University & Research Greenhouse Horticulture & Flower Bulbs Business Unit. In this study, which compared the effectiveness of eight different biological products and treatments against Pythium in cucumber crops, ASPERELLO® came out on top.

Macfrut 2020 goes Digital. From 8 to 10 September 2020, Italy’s international showcase for the fresh produce industry will offer business opportunities through a digital platform that will bring together buyers from all over the world, opening up new international markets for the sector. This innovative project makes Macfrut the first digital trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry. The uncertainty surrounding the current health emergency has made it difficult to organise the traditional trade fair, now in its 37th edition, in the usual way. Freshfel Europe releases COVID-19 Impact Assessment for the European fresh fruit and vegetable sector

Today Freshfel Europe has released its Impact Assessment of the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for the European fresh fruit and vegetable sector, including recommendations for policymakers. In conjunction with its members, Freshfel Europe compiled the 88-page COVID-19 Impact Assessment to accurately outline the effect the pandemic has had on the sector over the last few months and what implications this may have in the short, medium and long-term for the supply of fresh produce to consumers.
