International Green Week Berlin 2020, 17 to 26 January 2020

The International Green Week Berlin 2020 (17 - 26 Jan.) will soon be opening its doors. The ten-day event invites visitors to take a culinary tour of the world, experience the widest range of regional specialities at any fair, visit the spectacular Floral Hall (Hall 9) and the many special shows with their highlights for the general public. This is the third time that HIPPOLOGICA (24 - 26 Jan.) the largest indoor event in the Berlin/Brandenburg region, is part of the Green Week.

Przed nami ostatnie dni przedświąteczne i ostatnie chwile na zakupy. W okresie przedświątecznym wiele sklepów oferuje nie tylko promocje, lecz także przygotowuje bardzo atrakcyjne oferty produktów łączonych, z których można przygotować gotowe prezenty pod choinkę. Ze względu na ten wyjątkowy czas, chętniej sięgamy także po produkty z wyższej półki, często gotowe i świątecznie opakowane. Nie brakuje też na polskich stołach atrakcji z innych kuchni.

Macfrut 2020: Azja Środkowa i Afryka w centrum uwagi

Od października do grudnia w Azji i Afryce odbyło się ponad 10 międzynarodowych misji promujących 37 edycję Macfrut, która odbędzie się w dniach 5-7 maja 2020 r. w Rimini. Nowi wystawcy biorący udział w programie z Azji Środkowej i Kaukazu, Mali i Kamerunu w Pawilonie Afrykańskim. W tym roku odbędzie się również Spices & Herbs Global Expo, pierwsza w Europie wystawa poświęcona światu przypraw i ziół lekarskich.

International Strawberry Symposium 2020

The panel of speakers and the topics of the 9th edition of the International Strawberry Symposium, scheduled to take place in Rimini from 2 to 6 May 2020 and organized by Università Politecnica delle Marche and the Italian Council for agricultural research and analysis of the agricultural economy (CREA), in association with the International Society for Horticulture Science (ISHS), have recently been finalized.

Sukces jubileuszowej 10 edycji Targów RetailShow

Zakończyło się największe wydarzenie targowe branży handlowej. Przez dwa dni targi RetailShow były miejscem, gdzie ponad 200 wystawców prezentowało najnowsze rozwiązania dla sieci handlowych i sklepów. Odwiedzający wzięli udział w szeregu prelekcji i warsztatów, które inspirowały do działania, poszerzały wiedzę i dostarczały odpowiedzi na nurtujące branżę pytania.

Protection of organic crops

Arrigoni, the group specializing in the production protective screens for agriculture, is confirmed as an excellent ally for organic farming. The excellent results obtained following a test in the field for the control of flea beetles bear this out. Both SCIROCCO MD WHITE (windbreak and medium shading net, in flat weave HDPE monofilament) and BIOMAGLIA (light polyamide net, anti-insects and anti-frost) were tested, positioned on the crop immediately after sowing and kept until the harvest.

New CIV Fuji apple variety

The Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti (CIV) of San Giuseppe di Comacchio announces that it has recently obtained the Community Plant Variety Right (PVR) for the new clone of Fuji apples called FUCIV51pbr associated with the trademark SAN-CIV®.
The new variety selected by the CIV breeders improves some of the Fuji characteristics, specially the colour. The fruit is bright red almost over the entire surface. The colour is uniform.

A positive trend in European fresh fruit and vegetable consumption

Freshfel Europe’s latest edition of its Consumption Monitor shows that since 2013 EU consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables has very slowly picked up again after a noticeable decreasing trend since the turn of the century. Despite this, increasing the number of public and private initiatives to stimulate consumption should continue to be strongly encouraged. Noticeably, the data demonstrate a very slight decrease again from 2016 to 2017

Ludzie starsi są bardziej narażeni na ryzyko niezbilansowania diety i niedożywienia ze względu na zachodzące z wiekiem zmiany fizjologiczne. Dowodzi to, że zapotrzebowanie na produkty skierowane do seniorów będzie wzrastać. Z tego powodu osoby starsze stanowią coraz częściej pożądaną i cenioną grupę konsumentów.
