One in four exhibitors will be from abroad, exceeding the target of 1,500 buyers, with the presence of the world’s leading retail chains and European importers of tropical fruits. The result will be an increasingly international Macfrut 2018 (Rimini, 9-11 May). MEAT ATTRACTION 2018, the second edition of the meat sector trade fair, organised by IFEMA and ANICE, has announced details of the "Meat Attraction Buyers Meetings", a programme of B2B meetings with international buyers from priority markets, with support from ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, through its global network of trade offices.

4th Freskon The largest International Trade Show for Fruit & Vegetables opens tomorrow

The 4th ‘Freskon’ International Trade Show for Fruit & Vegetables opens tomorrow, featuring 210 exhibitors (as compared to 191 in 2017) from 22 countries, 11,000 sq.m. of exhibition space covered, some of the largest European supermarket chains attending, 250 pre-arranged business meetings between representatives of Greek enterprises and producers and foreign trade visitors and 150 hosted buyers from 31 countries.

Interpoma 2018 heralds the first year of the “Technology Award”

Technology will be the true protagonist at Interpoma 2018, the international apple-growing trade show scheduled to take place in Bolzano from November 15–17, 2018. For the very first time, trade show organizer Fiera Bolzano, in partnership with the Science and Technology Faculty of the Free University of Bolzano and Italian horticultural science society SOI, will introduce the Interpoma Technology Award.

Macfrut 2018, 25% of exhibitors are from abroad

Macfrut 2018 is approaching and is scheduled for 9-11 May at the Rimini Expo Centre: this three-day event will feature key players in the fruit and vegetable sector, one of the leading sectors in Italy, which ranks second for “Made in Italy” agri-food exports. As exports continue to grow, so does Macfrut: more than 55,000 square metres of space occupied (+10% compared to 2017, +100% in four years), 8 halls, more than 1,100 exhibitors, of which 25% are from abroad (+40% in four years), and 1,500 buyers invited from all over the world.

FRUIT ATTRACTION expects the 10th anniversary edition to be 16% bigger

More than 1,600 exhibitor companies from around the world. “Fresh Produce Southern Hemisphere” is a new area located in Hall 10, which will showcase the counter-seasonal offering alongside Europe. With 70,000 trade professionals from 120 countries are expected to attend this established international business meeting in a key month for planning the season. The 10th edition of Fruit Attraction will take place in Halls 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at Feria de Madrid, from Tuesday, 23 to Thursday, 25 October.

Investment boom in the Turkish logistics sector

A rise in the number of international participants at the Tropical Fruit Congress

The number of international participants at the first European summit on avocados and mangoes at Macfrut 2018 is on the increase. At the Tropical Fruit Congress, to be held at the Rimini Expo Centre on 10-11 May, of the 150 plus registered by 20 March 80% are from abroad. A large number of participants come from South America, which has always been a major producer of exotic fruits, so much so that it accounts for 62% of the supply of avocados in Europe.
