FRUIT ATTRACTION expects the 10th anniversary edition to be 16% bigger

More than 1,600 exhibitor companies from around the world. “Fresh Produce Southern Hemisphere” is a new area located in Hall 10, which will showcase the counter-seasonal offering alongside Europe. With 70,000 trade professionals from 120 countries are expected to attend this established international business meeting in a key month for planning the season. The 10th edition of Fruit Attraction will take place in Halls 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at Feria de Madrid, from Tuesday, 23 to Thursday, 25 October.

Investment boom in the Turkish logistics sector

A rise in the number of international participants at the Tropical Fruit Congress

The number of international participants at the first European summit on avocados and mangoes at Macfrut 2018 is on the increase. At the Tropical Fruit Congress, to be held at the Rimini Expo Centre on 10-11 May, of the 150 plus registered by 20 March 80% are from abroad. A large number of participants come from South America, which has always been a major producer of exotic fruits, so much so that it accounts for 62% of the supply of avocados in Europe.

370 Brazilian Hass Avocado containers arrive in Europe

The fruit stands out for its unique flavor and coloring. Jaguacy Brasil is the main producer and exporter of Hass avocado in Brazil, and starts its 2018 crop by offering the fruits to the foreign market as of March/2018. Operating jointly with Jaguacy Holland, an office that supports operations in the foreign market, JaguacyBrazil this year will increase by 40% the volume of fruit offered in the 2017 harvest. Brazilian production of Avocado has been increasing in recent years, and Jaguacy in 2017 sent about 80% of the Brazilian exports of the fruit to the foreign market.
