Mac Fruit Attraction China, Shanghai 22-24 November 2017

A partnership between Cesena Fiera, IFEMA and Vnu Exibitions Asia. China is increasingly becoming a strategic market for Italy. Exports increase by 12.8% equal to 27 million euros. In fact, they jointly created Mac Fruit Attraction China, an exhibition project that is part of Horti China, to be held from 22 to 24 November 2017 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Shanghai.

34th edition of Macfrut inaugurated, increase in international participants

Big numbers at the international fruit and vegetable trade fair inaugurated this morning at the Rimini Expo Centre: more than 1,000 exhibitors in 8 halls covering a 50,000 square metre area. The fruit and vegetable sector is of strategic importance for Italy: exports +5%, 25 million tonnes produced, consumption +1.4%.

Agro Oman & Fisheries Expo

Agro Oman & Fisheries Expo will be organized by Al Nimr Expo under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries Wealth. It will be held from 15-17 May 2017 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. The expo aims to link the sector as well as the related government organizations with industry experts and suppliers by sharing innovative ideas and solutions to transform the sector, showing the potential involved toward its contribution to the Sultanates growing economy.

Macfrut, the Partner Country is China

In 2015, the export of fruit and vegetable produce from the EU to China amounted to 22,768 tonnes worth 36.3 million euros. The main exported products were apples and pears, followed by citrus fruits. In 2016, according to data up to November, EU exports to this powerful country in Asia amounted to 31,298 tonnes worth 45.6 million euros.

Opinion leaders in the fruit and vegetable sector from China, India and the UAE will meet at the Rimini Expo Centre on 10 May for a conference on the opportunities and limitations of these new end markets for European fruit and vegetables. The conference will be an occasion to discuss the opportunities, restrictions and recommendations to achieve improved value with regard to Asian markets and the Middle East.

International interest in Freskon 10% increase in the number of trade visitors

The third Freskon left its 'seal’ on the fresh fruit and vegetable sector, serving as a point of reference and meeting place for producers, international retail groups, as well as domestic and international transporters of fresh fruit and vegetables. The considerable sway of the trade show was demonstrated by its increased visitor numbers, translated into approximately 4,000 individuals during the period of 27-29 April, marking a 10% increase over last year’s event.
