Fruit Attraction forecasts international exhibitor growth of over 16%

17 May 2019

Five months before the celebration of Fruit Attraction 2019 , the organisation is forecasting growth of more than 16% in the number of international companies taking part, enriching the diversity and latest product ranges of marketing companies from an increasing number of countries from around the world, thereby expanding the scope of this trade fair which is aimed at the whole international fruit and vegetable distribution sector of 130 countries. This represents an increase that exceeds the final international occupancy figure for last year’s event.

The 11th Fruit Attraction fair, to be held from 22 to 24 October will be attended by 1,800 companies and 90,000 professionals from 130 countries, making it one of the main global hubs for the marketing of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as being a major meeting point for fresh produce innovation, quality and diversity, at a key moment for worldwide distribution marketing campaigns.

One of the outstanding areas of this year’s event will be the notable increase in the size of the exhibition area, which currently stands at 13,728 square metres, as well as the number of foreign companies attending. In addition to the strong European participation from EU countries such as the Netherlands, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Poland, with strong growth in Greece’s involvement, the presence of non-EU countries such as Chile, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, South Africa, United Arab Emirates is also worthy of special mention, as is the début participation of Ecuador and Israel.

International participation will account for around 25% of the total, which underlines Fruit Attraction as a leading trade event for production, marketing and worldwide distribution organisations.

Organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, the Feria de Madrid halls 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will this year carry the slogan “Where Fresh Produce & Innovation meet”. There can be no doubt that Fruit Attraction will once again be offering international markets the most complete and effective marketing tool for the fruit and vegetable sector.
