SanLucar increases its product range of exotics within Europe

17 September 2019

European consumers can now enjoy exotic fruits of the highest quality 365 days a year. The premium brand SanLucar increases its offer of mangoes and avocados in the new season.
“SanLucar's exotics, such as pineapple or banana, have an excellent reputation in our traditional markets. Now it’s the time for mango and avocado, two products highly demanded by consumers who look for different tastes and who care more and more for their health and well-being," explains Marianela Rodríguez, the expert in exotic fruits of SanLucar Group.

SanLucar has established a partnership with the mango producer and avocado specialist Satori. This will now have an impact on the German and Austrian market and will be extended to other countries on a second stage. With more than 30 years of experience, the breeder, producer and ripening expert Satori is one of the benchmark companies for these two exotic fruits.
Through this strategic alliance, both companies are launching a unique project in which they combine their strengths: Their know-how in the production and distribution of premium quality fruits, their experience in the selection and development of the best varieties, as well as their powerful corporate structures.
"After initial tests in supermarkets, the satisfactory results for both the end consumer and the retailer already confirm the success of the project. Demand has increased rapidly. Thanks to this long-term collaboration with Satori, we are breaking new ground with our mangoes and avocados. The exotic fruits are available throughout the year with an exceptional taste and premium quality”, affirms Rodríguez.

Natural ripening
Another aspect that distinguishes SanLucar's offer of mango and avocado is their natural ripening process.
The company, in line with its corporate philosophy "Taste in harmony with people and nature", offers a fresh product that fully respects the fruit’s maturing time without accelerating its natural process.
On the other hand, and in order to make it easier for the end consumer to identify the ideal consistency of the avocado, the premium brand has developed a packaging which shows the ripeness degree of the product.
