SFFA 2018

22 May 2018
Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA) – Southeast Asia's leading trade show
for artisan, gourmet and fine food and drink – announces Isaac Mchale, Chef-Owner of London’s The Clove Club and Luca as its headline chef for the second edition of the show in Singapore on 17-19 July 2018. Organised by Montgomery Asia, SFFA and its co-located show, Restaurant Pub & Bar Asia (RPB Asia) are dedicated trade platforms that connect gourmet food producers and purveyors with decision makers in the foodservice, retail and hospitality sectors, providing companies appropriate avenues to discover new trends, expand their business and reach the right trade buyers.
Known for his thoughtful, pared back and elegant approach that celebrates the best of British produce, Mchale’s The Clove Club opened in March 2013 and quickly established itself at the forefront of the UK dining scene, being voted No. 5 Best Restaurant in the UK after 5 months of its opening, moving up to No. 2 the following year. In 2015 they were voted No. 55 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and in 2016 rose to No. 26 in the world, the ‘Highest New Entry’ in the Top 50; they maintained their position in the 2017 list.
For his first time in Singapore, Mchale will present two cooking demonstrations at SFFA’s Fine Food Live stage, in addition to sitting on a panel discussing the art of fine dining. Another highlight of his visit will be a one-night only four-hands dinner with Julien Royer, Chef-Owner, Odette. Royer is celebrated for his produce-driven, Essential Cuisine, which was recently ranked No. 5 restaurant in Asia and ‘Best Restaurant in Singapore’ at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards 2018.
Mchale’s appointment is the first of many industry-leading talents that will be joining the SFFA line-up in 2018, alongside extended on-site programming and innovative new features – a testament to Montgomery Asia’s commitment to creating a truly exciting showcase of the finest in speciality food and drink for the Southeast Asian market.

The inaugural edition in 2017 welcomed 161 international exhibitors and close to 3,000 regional trade buyers across the foodservice, hospitality, retail and wholesale sectors.
