TOMRA Food has opened a new customer service center in Bengaluru

The state-of-the-art facility of approximately 4000 square ft enables TOMRA Food to showcase its expertise and innovative approach to sorting produce such as cereals, pulses, nuts, raisins, dehydrated vegetables, coffee and many more, to new and existing customers.

The facility features a demonstration and testing area where TOMRA can interactively showcase its sorting systems to clients. During a demonstration, customers can view a simulation of how products would be sorted and defects identified in their own production environment, using one of the many TOMRA sorting solutions available.
Abhishek adds: “Our India facility allows a great number of efficiencies to be made on behalf of our customers, including improved logistical access and quicker response times. Both these developments will ultimately help food processors improve profitability.”
The new service center will be staffed by a 13-strong expert team of TOMRA Food residents, and highly-trained customer experience specialists and technicians. The company is also hiring additional experts to support this recent expansion. Find out more:

The customer service center opened following a week-long demo show, which included demonstrations at customer sites and at the new facility. In the coming weeks and months, the team will conduct roadshows in various potential markets of India.

GPG brings new blackberry genetics to the market

Global Plant Genetics (GPG) and Polish Rubus breeding programme, Niwa, have just concluded a licensing arrangement for two new primocane blackberry varieties. The agreement is for GPG to represent the Maryna and Juhas cultivars in a range of international territories.
