21 July 2017

POLAGRA FOOD every year attracts a large group of visitors with well-known brands of food products, food innovative in terms of taste and composition as well as exotic flavours from around the world. It will be no different this year. The Polish dairy and meat processing industries will obviously be at the forefront. These two sectors will be represented by a large group of market leaders whose products are well known from Polish stores. The exhibition of fruit and vegetable processing companies promises to be interesting. There will also be sweets, snacks, teas, drinks and alcohol. In addition to strong representation of Polish entrepreneurs, there will also be food producers from abroad, including Italy, Finland, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Cyprus as well as Malaysia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

POLAGRA FOOD as a contracting fair for years has been supporting the development of trade between Poland and the rest of the world. Its formula allows, above all, to gain new, reliable business partners. This is also facilitated by accompanying events such as International Cooperation Exchange organised by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP). This year's Polagra Food will also include the Polish-Nigerian Economic Summit, during which the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries will be discussed. Meetings will be accompanied by two-day matchmaking sessions.
A solid dose of knowledge about the new regulations for entrepreneurs in the food industry will be presented during the training conducted by the law firm WKB Wierciński, Kwieciński, Baehr. The Monday session (September 25) will be dedicated to food labelling rules in Poland. These are extremely important issues, because, as can be seen in stores, not all entrepreneurs know, for instance, when to use terms such as "Polish", "home-made", "traditional". The topic of discussion will be the "Polish Product" mark − a new commercial designation. The second meeting (Wednesday, September 27) will be devoted to the question of new restrictions on trade and legal risk for suppliers and buyers, including retail chains. The training refers primarily to the Act on preventing the use of unfair advantage in contract, which came into force on 12 July. Experts from the law firm WKB Wierciński, Kwieciński, Baehr will present in an accessible way the main features of the new rules and their practical importance in everyday activities, both to representatives of large retail chains and retailers who trade in food products.
This year's POLAGRA FOOD will be held on 25-28 September in Poznan (Poland). It will be accompanied, among other things, by POLAGRA GASTRO International Trade Fair for Gastronomy, INVEST HOTEL Hotel Equipment Trade Fair as well as POLAGRA TECH International Fair of Food Processing Technologies.
