More than 75,000 management-level trade visitors from over 130 countries – 5% increase in number of visitors – Trade visitors and exhibitors report positive business results.

According to Messe Berlin CEO Dr. Christian Göke: "FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 marked another milestone in its 25th anniversary year. Even more important than the increase in the number of visitors is the optimism in the sector – which was clearly noticeable in the exhibition halls on all three days of the fair."

More than 3,100 exhibitors from 84 countries presented a comprehensive market overview of the fresh produce sector. Along with negotiating and concluding business transactions, exhibitors emphasised the importance of global interest in the trade event.

Highly satisfied exhibitors and trade visitors
Some 87% of exhibitors said their overall impression of FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 was good or very good.

The three days of FRUIT LOGISTICA offered many opportunities to set the stage for a successful business year. Some 43% of exhibitors signed business deals during the trade fair; 86% expect follow-up business to range from satisfactory to very good.

Maintaining customer relationships, showcasing companies and generating new business are some of the main objectives set by FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 exhibitors. 

Some 98% of trade visitors reported positive business results from the trade fair; 90% said they planned to return, and 96% said they would recommend the event to others. 80% managed to establish new business contacts and 39% signed new contracts during the exhibition. More than three-quarters of trade visitors expect the contacts made in Berlin will result in post trade-fair sales.

The trade specialists at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 were characterized by their internationality and decision-making authority. Some 82% of them came to Berlin from outside Germany. The level of decision-making authority among trade visitors remained high again this year. More than two-thirds reportedly work in management positions. 
The largest trade visitor groups included fruit and vegetable growers, representatives from import/export companies, and representatives from the wholesale and retail trades.

For the very first time, trade show organizer Fiera Bolzano, in partnership with the Science and Technology Faculty of the Free University of Bolzano and Italian horticultural science society SOI, will introduce the Interpoma Technology Award. »

Macfrut 2018, 25% of exhibitors are from abroad

Macfrut 2018 is approaching and is scheduled for 9-11 May at the Rimini Expo Centre: this three-day event will feature key players in the fruit and vegetable sector, one of the leading sectors in Italy, which ranks second for “Made in Italy” agri-food exports. As exports continue to grow, so does Macfrut: more than 55,000 square metres of space occupied (+10% compared to 2017, +100% in four years), 8 halls, more than 1,100 exhibitors, of which 25% are from abroad (+40% in four years), and 1,500 buyers invited from all over the world. »

FRUIT ATTRACTION expects the 10th anniversary edition to be 16% bigger

More than 1,600 exhibitor companies from around the world. “Fresh Produce Southern Hemisphere” is a new area located in Hall 10, which will showcase the counter-seasonal offering alongside Europe. With 70,000 trade professionals from 120 countries are expected to attend this established international business meeting in a key month for planning the season. The 10th edition of Fruit Attraction will take place in Halls 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at Feria de Madrid, from Tuesday, 23 to Thursday, 25 October. »
