MACFRUT 2016: 1,000 buyers expected from five continents

8 August 2016
Macfrut 2016, the international exhibition of the fruit and vegetable sector to be held in Rimini from 14 to 16 September, will open with a focus on internationality and innovation.

In fact, Cesena Fiera, the exhibition organiser, has confirmed that several hundred buyers from all continents, including Europe, South America, the Middle East, Asia and North Africa, have already registered to participate. Just to mention a few: Aartsenfruit BV, Univeg, Roveg, Cool Fresh Group, Gava Grup, Carrefour, Al Jazeerah Supermarkets, NRTC, Metro, Total Import, Grupo ARC Eurobanan, Staay Food Group, Grupo Hermanos Fernandez Lopez, Camposol and Levarht.

Renzo Piraccini, President of Cesena Fiera, observes: "We are currently proceeding with invitations to Macfrut 2016 and the level of interest is really high. This is shown by the presence of prestigious names among the international buyers who have already confirmed their participation at the trade fair, and our goal is to reach 1,000 confirmed participants. After all, Macfrut keeps growing, in fact this year we will have at least 100 exhibitors more than last year and, what is more, we have already sold over 95% of the available spaces."

Once again, Macfrut proves to be a truly unique event in the fruit and vegetable sector, since it is the only exhibition that represents the entire supply chain.

Therefore, Macfrut 2016 will be an occasion during which, for three whole days, importers, distributors and buyers in the large-scale retail trade will gather, along with leading producers and companies interested in the technologies showcased at the trade fair. This year, once again, specialised companies will attend from all segments of the fruit and vegetable supply chain, from pre-harvest to the fresh-cut and ready-to-eat segments, as well as packaging, sorting and grading technologies and all processing in general.

Over the next few days, Macfrut will activate a new service especially for buyers and exhibitors: an online business meeting platform, where you can register by following a simple guided procedure, which will allow you to directly get in touch with all the protagonists of the trade fair. In other words, it is an ideal way to prepare for meetings, make appointments and seize all the opportunities that only a major event such as Macfrut 2016 is able to offer.
