A gateway in Africa for the fruit and vegetable industry
20 April 2017
Cesena Fiera strengthens its international development with the organisation of the second edition of Mac Fruit Attraction MENA (Middle East North Africa) that will be held in Cairo from 22 to 24 April 2017. The trade fair showcases the best features of Macfrut (in Rimini) and Fruit Attraction (in Madrid) to offer traders in the Italian and Spanish fruit and vegetable sector several business opportunities in a 425 million people market with a GDP of 3.1 billion US dollars.
Most of the event visitors come from Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, countries in which the export of Italian and Spanish fruit and vegetables has grown considerably.
The trade fair is organised by IFP, as part of Food Africa, the leading agribusiness exhibition in the continent. A total of 88 international companies in the fruit and vegetable sector will take part in this second edition, coming from Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Nigeria and Egypt.
The exhibition also coincides with the celebration of Africa Food Manufacturing, dedicated to labelling and packaging machinery and solutions, foodstuff treatment and processing equipment, as well as logistics and storage.
The trade fair, among other initiatives, offers participants a series of meetings with 400 international buyers from 50 countries.
One reason for the success of this trade fair is the strength of the Mac Fruit Attraction brand, which in just two editions has become a benchmark exhibition for the fruit and vegetable sector in the Middle East and North Africa.
