International Banana Convention 2020 goes online for first time

Organised by the Association of Ecuadorian Banana Exporters (AEBE), this year’s virtual format will enable the participation of even more global banana industry players at lower costs. The Polish Chamber of Commerce with Wesgro - the official Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, in collaboration with South African Embassy in Poland and the South African Fresh Produce Exporters' Forum organise the Fresh Produce Virtual B2B Export Mission to Poland. The webinar will be hosted via Zoom and B2B meetings via Zoom breakout rooms. South Africa exports 2.7 million tons of fresh fruit to more than 90 countries. Fresh fruit represents 33% of South Africa’s agriculture exports.

VOG, focus on varietal planning at Macfrut Digital

The Consortium of South Tyrol - Südtirol Fruit and Vegetable Growing Cooperatives will be amongst the participants at the first edition of Macfrut Digital, Italy’s biggest fruit and vegetable show. From Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 September 2020, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of the VOG Consortium’s South Tyrolean apples thanks to a virtual space including a corporate video produced specifically for Macfrut Digital and the splendid scenery featured in the Marlene® video entitled “I am Marlene®, daughter of the Alps”.
