Italian apples reach Vietnam with the first VOG Consortium shipment

A historic milestone for the Italian apple market. On Thursday 5 March VOG, the South Tyrolean Consortium with almost 5,000 member producers in the region, farming an area of 10,900 hectares, shipped a container of apples to Vietnam for the very first time. In an unprecedented move, the 8 tonnes of apples, will be distributed through the Asian country's biggest retail circuits.

“Orchards of Russia and CIS 2020" 19-20 May in Moscow

Over 380 top managers from flagship commercial orchards and vineyards, farms, Russian and international investors, producers of equipment and technologies have already confirmed their participation and showcase of investment projects at the 3rd Annual International Investment Forum “Orchards of Russia and CIS 2020: Investment, Technologies and Innovations” to be held on 19-20 May in Moscow.

New Macfrut dates: 8-10 September 2020

Due to the progressive spread of the Covid-19 virus, the board of directors of Cesena Fiera decided to move Macfrut – the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector – to 8-10 September 2020 in Rimini, instead of holding it on 5-7 May.

WOP DUBAI continues to be the most important meeting point of the industry in the Middle East

The total outcome of the show 2019 year reflected again the huge growth in the trade of perishables in the Middle East and proved the position of WOP DUBAI as the only trade fair for fresh produce in the region as well as strengthen the emirates of Dubai as an important destination and a worldwide trading center for fruits and vegetables. The constant growth of past years continued in 2019 year.

Macfrut 2020, the Tropical Fruit Congress will be dedicated to avocados

The programme for the third edition of the Tropical Fruit Congress, the only event in Europe dedicated to exotic fruit, has been finalised: once again, it will be held during Macfrut, the international trade fair for the fresh produce industry, from 5 to 7 May 2020 at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italy. The star of the event will be a single fruit, namely avocado: in the last few years, avocado consumption has increased exponentially worldwide, especially in the EU.

Priority participation period until 25 March

The 12th edition is expecting 2,000 companies and 95,000 trade professionals from 140 countries to take part. Fruit Attraction 2019 is already accepting applications to take part in its 12th edition, which will be held from 20 to 22 October. Two thousand direct exhibiting companies from the entire fruit and vegetable value chain are expected to take part, as well as 95,000 trade participants from 140 countries.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 16-18 September 2020, Singapore, Singapore EXPO Asia’s Fresh Produce Trading Hub

Exhibitors advised to register now for Asia’s top fresh fruit and vegetable trade show, which heads to Singapore on 16-18 September 2020. Stand applications for ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2020 are closing soon, and exhibitors looking to secure their space at the must-attend event on Asia’s fresh produce calendar are advised to register by 28 February. Any applications received after this date are accommodated on a first come, first served basis.

The next edition of medFEL, the international event for the fruit & vegetable sector in France, will be held on 22 and 23 April 2020 at Perpignan Exhibition Centre.
Sponsored by the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Regional Authority and organised by the regional economic development agency AD’OCC and SPAS Organisation, medFEL 2020 expects to play host to 250 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors over the two-day event, offering a comprehensive overview of the market.
