Bart Sosef, until recently General Manager of Arend-Sosef (Honselerdijk), has been appointed General Manager of Biobest’s recently created subsidiary in the Netherlands with immediate effect. His role will be to lead a team of ten, to fine-tune and implement the commercial strategy and to develop the organization.

biobest-3.jpgBiobest CEO Jean-Marc Vandoorne: “We’ve created Biobest Nederland BV as an immediate response to the bankruptcy of Arend-Sosef. With Bart Sosef at the helm, Biobest Nederland is now really ready for take-off. Our team of 7 bio-advisors, collectively, has more than 100 years of experience in integrated pest management. Bart is a seasoned commercial manager with a strong commitment to our business, a broad network and in-depth knowledge of the Dutch horticultural sector.

The biological control and pollination business do not have a cyclical character. Biology is the key to sustainable and residue free production. The constant stream of innovations creates a wealth of new opportunities and applications in this business.”

In the early days of his career, Bart Sosef took his first steps in the Nic Sosef family business as a biocontrol technical advisor. He worked in this capacity for about four years. “I’ve chosen Biobest Nederland BV with full conviction” continues Bart Sosef. “After more than 20 years of good collaboration between Biobest and Arend-Sosef as a distributor, we can build on a foundation of strong mutual trust.

I also have the privilege to work with a strong and experienced team. We are all committed to offer our customers in the Netherlands quality products, reliable advice and access to a constant stream of innovations.”
