The report of economic activity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for the second quarter 2018

The number of new economic licenses registered by Abu Dhabi Business Center of the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi during the second quarter of this year was 2671 with an increase of 21% compared to the same quarter last year, which amounted to 2205 new licenses. According to the report, the total number of the new commercial licenses registered in the emirate reached 2,527 licenses during the second quarter of this year compared to 2,026 licenses during the same quarter last year with an increase of 24.7%.

Well over 13,000 buyers and visitors from more than 70 countries are expected to pour through the doors of AsiaWorld-Expo for ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA on 5-7 September 2018. They will find a trade show that has grown again, with more than 800 exhibitors from 46 countries and 27 national pavilions.
“ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA will have its largest ever number of exhibitors and widest range of products on display this year,” said Wilfried Wollbold, commercial director of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s organiser, Global Produce Events (GPE).

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) announced the temporary closure of customer service centers of Abu Dhabi Business Center in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain due to maintenance and improvement works. The aim is to improve the quality of all economic licensing services to ensure customer satisfaction and excellence in service delivery. HE Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Business Center, said that the Department will continue to provide all economic licensing services as usual and at the same pace, excellence and quality as before.

Industrial Development Bureau of the Department of Economic Development (DED) carries on conducting field visits to new factories entered into production in the Emirate of Ab u Dhabi this year 2018. A delegate of the Bureau visited a number of manufacturers in Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) 3, it is worth to be noted that investment value of these manufacturers total 520 million Dirhams. Industrial Development Bureau makes sure to follow up the performance of the new factories entered into production by conducting visits on regular basis by the working group.

INTERPORC holds at MEAT ATTRACTION the final of the International Competition

The Interprofessional of White Layer Swine, INTERPORC, will hold during its participation in the second Trade Fair of the Meat Sector, MEAT ATTRACION 2018, the big final of the INTERPORC SPAIN 2018 award, on 19 September, at 12:00 hours, where six finalists from the different classification contests performed by the Interprofessional at different cities of Spain and Japan will compete. The event will be taking place within the trade fair, organised by IFEMA and the National Association of Spanish Meat Industries, ANICE, to be held from 18 to 20 September at Feria de Madrid.
