A maxi-stand at IPACK-IMA for LM

14 May 2025

From 27 to 30 May, LM Group will be present at Ipack-Ima, the international fair dedicated to packaging and processing scheduled at Fiera Milano. In Pavilion 3 - Stand B60-C59, the company will showcase a wide selection of its technologies for product handling and transport, confirming itself as a strategic and reliable partner for the connection between processing and packaging machines in all the main industrial sectors. As per tradition, LM will focus on a dynamic and engaging setup, with two lines in continuous operation: one designed by LM and Marpatech, the other designed by Magnoni.

The LM loop will be a real demonstration path, designed to provide a concrete and immersive vision of the breadth and versatility of the Group's solutions through four distinct sections. It starts from the sorting area, with cantilevered "smart belts", ideal for facilitating cleaning operations and the "delicate" transport of small products and a high-speed plate diverter, LM's core product suitable for the distribution of flexible and lightweight packaging over multiple rows. It continues with the alignment and grouping section, where a row-balancing system, conveyor belts with 45° inclined ends and motorized ploughshares allow the products arriving in bulk to be neatly arranged in a single row. This will be followed by an area dedicated to curves, where two of the four models developed by LM will be in operation: a belt curve with washable pen-end rollers and a plastic mesh curve designed for heavy loads. The path ends with the waste transfer system, the Sortech by Marpatech, for 90° deviations without external moving parts. The entire loop will be crossed by an unusual product, kept as a surprise until the beginning of the fair, designed to highlight the ability of LM systems to adapt to heterogeneous processes in different industrial sectors.

Next LM loop, the stand will also host an entire demonstration line by Magnoni, designed to simulate the transport of empty cans along the main phases of a production line. The route opens with a traditional tabletop system, followed by a modular chain elevator with a vacuum system for changing height. Then a gravity twister for turning over the cans entering the rinser in the ionized air version, useful for removing any impurities before filling. To complete the line, a series of technologies dedicated to the transport and subsequent treatment of cans: air vail conveyor (the cans are moved by air without moving mechanical parts), an automatic twister capable of adapting to different diameters and formats without the need of mechanical replacements, and a vacuum conveyor for the marking phase. The automatic twister for cans is one of the flagship products of the loop: developed to respond to the growing variety of formats introduced onto the market every year, it allows companies to adapt with greater flexibility, avoiding the purchase of new twisters for each variation. The entire line processes up to 36.000 cans/hour, ensuring high performance, hygiene and robustness.

The layout of the stand, developed on an area of 20x6 meters, is designed to enhance the complementarity of the LM, Marpatech and Magnoni proposals and offer visitors a complete vision of the Group's expertise.

Micromus-System can deliver even earlier control of raspberry aphid

25 February 2026
New Biobest research confirms effective predation of raspberry aphid with Micromus-System at temperatures lower than previously thought, unlocking stronger early-season IPM strategies for protected raspberries. This work reveals the generalist aphid predator, Micromus angulatus, is active at temperatures as low as 12°C, so significantly earlier in the season than previously shown. »
