The 100th anniversary of Grüne Woche celebrates the impressive diversity of the agricultural and food industry, which is characterised by tradition and progress. Hall 22a will showcase the organic agricultural and food industry – this time under the joint motto: Experience organic. Visitors to the fair will learn first-hand how sustainable food production, processing and marketing can shape a future worth living. In addition to ecological principles, regionality plays a central role.
Consumers, trade visitors and the media can look forward to fascinating information and authentic insights into the organic sector in the organic hall. Creative hands-on activities and games, delicious organic specialities and a varied stage programme ensure genuine organic experiences. The live programme offers the best in entertainment and inspiration. Among other things, there will be various cooking shows with top organic chefs Nina Meyer and Sebastian Junge, wine tastings, workshops, interesting panel discussions and music acts by regional musicians.
One of the main players in the organic hall is the Federal Organic Farming Programme(BÖL). 2026 is also an anniversary year for the BÖL. For 25 years, the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Rural Affairs (BMLEH) has been using the BÖL to strengthen the expansion of organic and sustainable agriculture and food production in Germany. The BÖL is represented in the organic hall with various projects. Farmers from the Network of Demonstration Farms for Organic Agriculture, entrepreneurs from the Organic Processing Practice Network, organic research teams, representatives from organic cities, the organic value chain, the Organic Label Information Centre and the Association of Organic Top Chefs will be on site. They will all be providing information about the added value of organic products, inviting trade fair visitors to join in discussions and hands-on activities, answering questions and offering practical insights into their work. There will also be small treats and samples of regional organic products. The BÖL stand thus complements the hall's motto and invites visitors to ‘Experience organic. Enjoy home.’
The major organic associations will also be present in the organic hall, providing information about their work and goals at their stands.
Under the motto ‘We work for you’, the organic association Bioland will present its seven principles – the basis on which around 10,000 Bioland businesses in production, processing, trade and catering operate. They highlight the advantages of organic farming and the values of the Bioland association. The content will be presented in a visually appealing and practical way – together with members and partners from the beekeeping industry (Honigtreu) and the retail sector (Lidl and Kaufland). In addition, Bioland e.V. will be bringing the advantages of an ecological lifestyle directly to visitors with interactive hands-on activities.
The Demeter community stand focuses on the topics of enjoyment, health and living soil. Member farms from all over Germany present a wide variety of their products: from unique coffee and healthy fruit juices to delicious honey and wine. A life-size milking cow invites young and old alike to try their hand at milking.
As the largest international organic association, Naturland demonstrates why it is important to promote organic farming both regionally and globally. At the Naturland stand, visitors can enjoy organic coffee specialities and sample fair trade olives. Visitors can learn about the importance of organic farming underwater by sampling fish and chips. In addition to information on organic food production, guests can look forward to other organic delicacies. ALDI-SÜD will also be present at the Naturland stand this year.
Together, the organic associations Bioland, Demeter and Naturland demonstrate how diverse and delicious organic food is. The cooking team from the Brodowin eco-village conjures up delicious dishes for trade fair visitors using fresh, regional ingredients from the three farming associations. The range is complemented by aromatic espresso and crema specialities as well as moist cakes and pastries.
Representatives of the German Organic Food Industry Association (BÖLW) will also be present in the organic hall and look forward to talking to guests from the agricultural and food industries, politics and society.
Other exhibitors in the organic hall include the ‘BERLIN isst anders’ (Berlin eats differently) project, presented by the Berlin Senate, and the ‘Weltacker’ (World Field) travelling exhibition by the Future Foundation for Agriculture. Also represented this year are agricultural machinery manufacturer Fendt, which is showcasing one of its electric tractors, vegan organic catering company KERNVOll, and smart fruit gum manufacturer Rockets Nutrition.
One thing is certain: the organic hall proves that organic farming is innovative, sustainable and forward-looking! Visitors of all ages can experience sustainability first-hand here – with regional products, interactive offerings and exciting ideas.
