Apofruit Italia: plenty of new additions to the basket for Fruit Logistica 2026

29 January 2026

The cooperative's top management will attend the Berlin trade fair, taking place from 4 to 6 February, at Stand A-40 in Hall 2.2.

Apofruit Italia, one of Italy’s largest fruit and vegetable producer cooperatives with approximately 2,700 members across several growing regions, is set to showcase its latest range at Fruit Logistica (Stand A-40, Hall 2.2). The sector's leading international trade fair is scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 February 2026 at the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds. A broad portfolio of 100% "Made in Italy" products—bearing the hallmarks of quality, sustainability and varietal innovation—will be presented to national and international supply chain businesses.

Key products on show include Dulcis® kiwifruit, Candine® and Joya® apples, Angello® seedless mini-peppers, Tang Gold mandarins, as well as a wide range of strawberries and citrus fruits. High-volume and reliable supplies for both Italian and international retailers are underpinned by substantial investments in varietal innovation.

A significant new development for this year’s event is Apofruit’s expansion into Italian avocado production, currently being spearheaded by producer members in Calabria. The programme, drawing on the Group’s technical expertise and established local partnerships, aims to promote avocado cultivation using a sustainable approach. By focusing on organic and integrated production, the initiative seeks to offer high-quality fruit that meets growing European demand.

“Participation in Fruit Logistica 2026,” comments Ernesto Fornari, Managing Director of the Apofruit Italia Group, “represents a vital opportunity to consolidate relationships with our international partners and showcase the evolution of our product portfolio—the result of research, expertise and passion. We are particularly proud to bring the avocado initiative to the attention of industry professionals, as it embodies our vision of sustainable growth and varietal innovation, alongside the full excellence of 'Made in Italy' produce.”

“At Fruit Logistica 2026,” adds Gianluca Casadio, Marketing Manager at Apofruit Italia“we are reasserting our commitment to providing a range that meets the demands of a constantly evolving market. From traditional products and new varieties to specialist lines, we want to highlight the quality and diversity of our product mix. The move into avocado production is one of our most exciting challenges, as it combines sustainability, regional development and clear commercial opportunities.”
