28 January 2026

FRUCHTWELT BODENSEE 2026 is fast approaching, once again inviting professionals from across the fruit-growing sector to Lake Constance for a comprehensive program focused on current challenges, innovative solutions and hands-on insights. The upcoming edition will feature a broad supporting program, combining expert lectures, panel discussions, live demonstrations and networking opportunities that reflect the dynamic transformation of the industry.

Many program highlights are already available online, with further content continuously being added. Visitors are encouraged to regularly consult the online program to stay up to date with the latest sessions and events.

Consumer Behaviour and Market Dynamics in Focus

Following the opening ceremony of the 43rd Obstbautage on Friday, 20 February 2026, a high-level panel discussion titled “Changes in Consumer Behavior – How New Trends Are Shaping the Future” will explore how evolving consumer expectations are influencing fruit production and trade. Moderated by Eberhard Braun, experts from GLOBUS, AMI Agrarmarkt, the Federal Fruit Growing Group and the University of Göttingen will discuss emerging trends, opportunities and challenges for producers and retailers alike.

The lecture series Obst vom Bodensee will further address key sector topics, including the role and future of chemical plant protection, as well as current developments in the apple market, where oversupply, price pressure and shifting consumption habits are redefining business strategies.

Irrigation, Climate Adaptation and Applied Research

On Saturday, the Kompetenzzentrum Obstbau Bodensee (KOB) will present a dedicated lecture block on modern irrigation in fruit growing. Sessions will cover needs-based water management, climate change adaptation and the use of sensor technologies, irrigation apps and digital models that help optimise water use in orchards.

Digitalisation and Agri-PV Solutions

Sunday’s program will spotlight new technologies in agriculture. Topics include approval procedures for agri-photovoltaic systems, current research on agri-PV applications and practical demonstrations of digital farm management tools such as Mein Acker, Farmable, ProFlura and Agromanager.

Live Demonstrations in the New Demo Area

A new demonstration area in Hall B5 will premiere at FRUCHTWELT BODENSEE 2026, offering exhibitors the chance to present machines, technologies and innovative solutions in live, practical settings. This interactive format allows visitors to experience technology first-hand, compare solutions and engage directly with suppliers.

Additional Highlights

The supporting program also includes a regional fashion show, a children’s activity area, and a wide range of lectures covering direct marketing, farm shop concepts, education, research and development. For the first time, an exclusive expert excursion to the Kompetenzzentrum Obstbau Bodensee will take place the day before the fair, focusing on trials with rootstocks, varieties, training systems and energy-saving storage solutions.

Plan Your Visit

Numerous exhibitor contributions are already available online, offering detailed insights into products, services and innovations ahead of the event. The online ticket shop is open, enabling visitors to secure tickets in advance and save up to 18% compared to on-site prices.
