3 November 2018

Origine Group General Manager, Alessandro Zampagna, participate in Chile in the opening of the new plant of David Del Curto. “We work together to increase production maintaining quality and service”

David Del Curto, the long-living Chilean fruits and vegetable company, associated Origine Group, celebrates 65 years of activity with the opening of the new plant of Requinoa, municipality of the province of Cachapoal south of Santiago, where a new up to date Aweta kiwi processing line will operate. At the celebration, with around 300 invitees, participated the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile Antonio Walker Prieto. Origine Group General Manager, Alessandro Zampagna, attended the event. “The new processing line is particularly interesting for Origine Group as it will be functional to the supply of top-quality kiwis to be sold with the Sweeki brand” states Zampagna.
On the occasion, David Del Curto has also organized a technical-commercial meeting with around ten big growers to explore the possibility of increasing the production of high quality kiwis. The meeting focused on orchard management aimed at high quality, and on the commercial aspects of the global sales of Sweeki kiwis by Origine Group. With 10 associated companies (nine from Italy and one from Chile), Origine Group add up more than 120,000 tons of kiwis. After last difficult Italian harvest, the Chilean season was satisfying, with around 1,000 tons of kiwis shipped, that met the favour of the market. The main destinations are in the Far East, where Origine Group sell kiwis in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malesia and Indonesia. “With our Chilean member David Del Curto – says Zampagna – there is total agreement. The philosophy of Origine Group is simple: to serve our international clients with a product of constant high quality, available all year round and with a high service content, thanks to the volume that only a few players move and to a brand-building strategy”.
