The Biosolutions and Digital Technologies exhibition (21-23 April, Rimini Expo Centre) will feature an exhibition area, a seminar, an international focus, technical round tables, and meetings with buyers.
With a focus on Biosolutions, including natural plant protection, nutrition and biostimulation products, the Biosolutions and Digital Technologies (BDT) exhibition specialises in plant protection, nutrition and biostimulation in production chains. Once again, the exhibition will be held at Macfrut, the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable supply chain, scheduled to take place from 21 to 23 April 2026 at the Rimini Expo Centre.
‘According to data reported on the EBIC (European Biostimulants Industry Council) website and published by Future Market Insights in 2023, the global biostimulants market is worth more than USD 3 billion, and this figure is expected to triple within the next 10 years,’ says Roberto Sciolino of Agri 2000 Net, the exhibition’s coordinator. ‘A 2023 survey conducted by the IBMA (International Biocontrol Manufacturers Association) found that the European biocontrol market is now worth over EUR 1.6 billion, twice the value recorded in 2016. These figures clearly indicate that the sector has significant potential for growth.’
As the leading exhibition for Southern Europe and Mediterranean countries, Biosolutions and Digital Technologies will provide a comprehensive overview of the sector during the three-day trade fair, covering all aspects and showcasing a wide variety of specialised products.
In particular, there will be an exhibition area featuring several companies (around 70 in the last edition) showcasing biosolutions and innovative technologies in a central location in the South Hall, the busiest area of the trade fair. A key feature of the exhibition will be its exploration of the different aspects of ‘knowledge’, showcasing case studies, innovations, and the latest research in the field. The exhibition will include a seminaron the topic ‘Biosolutions and Kiwi Quality: Which Strategies?’, an international focus on stone fruit, as well as technical round tables where exhibitors and sponsors can discuss operational aspects of the field. In addition, exhibitors will have the opportunity to arrange meetings with foreign buyers of Biosolutions.
‘Since 2019, the Biosolutions and Digital Technologies exhibition has provided a platform for the biosolutions sector to connect with Italian and international fruit and vegetable supply chains,’ explains Roberto Sciolino. ‘Key players will include specialists in the areas of biocontrol, biostimulation, special nutrition products and sustainable technologies, as well as leading global companies, input distributors, agricultural entrepreneurs and experts in the sector, which is receiving increasing attention from the EU and consumers.’
