In just a few days, from 14–16 April, EXPO XXI in Warsaw will host the largest event for the food, HoReCa, and functional food sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. To enter the world of the most important trends, premieres, business meetings and decisions — and to find out how the market is changing and what will appear on shelves and restaurant menus — free registration is required.
A visit to the International Food and Beverage Trade Fair WorldFood Poland, held together with SMAKKi Gastro Fair, is the shortest route to meeting suppliers and building a sales network. Thanks to the accompanying NutraFood Poland, dedicated to functional food and supplementation, and ColdChain Poland, focused on efficient logistics, the event offers a comprehensive view of the food industry.
The upcoming edition confirms the event’s comprehensive and international character, bringing together more than 350 exhibitors from Poland and around the world in Warsaw. In the exhibition halls, visitors will be able to experience the atmosphere of countries including Italy, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Thailand, India, and Korea.
Agnieszka Szpaderska, Director of Business Development and Strategic Projects, highlights the scale and importance of the event while encouraging industry professionals to plan their visit.
“We are creating a platform for building business relationships and discovering innovative products, many of which are not available through regular retail channels. This year, more than 1,500 different food-related brands will be showcased, and importantly, 45% of them are international. I warmly encourage everyone to visit our events, where, in addition to the exhibitors’ offer, there will be a valuable conference programme and opportunities to talk with industry experts. We also expect more than 130 buyers from Poland and abroad, representing leading retail chains,” says Agnieszka Szpaderska.
The April event is an opportunity for networking, direct talks with producers, and meetings with experts from industry organizations, leading companies, and retail chains who have a real influence on the market.
From product composition to emotions on the plate
WorldFood Poland, together with SMAKKi Gastro Fair and NutraFood Poland, offers comprehensive access to food products, beverages, alcohol, organic food, functional food, dietary supplements, raw materials, and food additives.
The division into sectors will allow visitors to quickly discover producers and distributors from across the entire product value chain. Consumer demand today is highly diverse — from bio products, certified organic food, regional products, and international inspirations, to natural raw materials and ingredients, supplements, and functional food. That is why up-to-date market knowledge and the right network of relationships are key to success.
An important part of the event concept is the spectacular and highly practical presentation of how food products can be used in HoReCa. Inspiring flavour combinations will be showcased by chefs in the “Flavours of the World” series, as well as by professionals and culinary talents taking part in competitions and live demonstrations. Highlights will include, among others:
the Golden Artichoke competition dedicated to plant-based cuisine,
the Street Food Masters Championship, a contest for street food creators,
coffee competitions and demonstrations,
all carried out in the spirit of striving for the highest quality and mastery in flavour composition.
In the national pavilions, participants will be able to discover a wealth of flavours and inspirations from around the world. International culinary inspiration in the “Flavours of the World” series will be provided, among others, by experts in Italian and Thai cuisine. A special highlight will be the Bellavita Italian Pavilion, which will transport guests straight into the heart of Italian gastronomy. This year’s edition will spotlight colourful Sicily, where visitors will have the chance to discover the island’s signature specialities, while pizza and pasta-making shows will bring the atmosphere of Mediterranean cuisine to life.
Food – how to package and transport it
Without proper packaging, storage, and transport, it is impossible to talk about food safety — and therefore about the highest quality expected by the customer. That is why a cold supply chain and packaging systems are key aspects of the food, HoReCa, and nutraceutical industries, forming the basis of a secure and efficient logistics process.
In the ColdChain Poland exhibition sector, visitors will be able to explore solutions that ensure controlled temperature at every stage of the value chain, including storage at the final destination, such as a store, restaurant, catering centre, or pharmacy. Responsibility for the product, supported by modern technology, gives companies the tools to build consumer trust.
WorldFood Poland and the events taking place alongside it will be accompanied by presentations, lectures, and debates led by opinion leaders, providing inspiration for every segment of the food industry.
“It is worth planning your time carefully in order to fully benefit from the knowledge of experts and prepare your product offer for upcoming trends, consumer demand, and new legal regulations. We know how important this part of the event is for the industry, which is why we made every effort to build a programme that provides professionals with the most valuable market insights free of charge,” emphasizes Agnieszka Szpaderska.
The programme has been designed to equip attendees with knowledge about the future and competitiveness of Polish and European food products, while also delivering insights into consumer expectations for products through to 2030.
Particularly important for building FMCG brands will be recommendations on:
creating quality brands,
export activities,
negotiations with retail chains.
It will also be worth following the sessions on product innovation, especially in the field of functional food and emerging market segments linked to longevity and wellbeing-supporting food.
Specialist support has also been prepared for the HoReCa sector. Here, the lectures will focus on essential business topics such as cash flow management in gastronomy and ways to secure funding for growth. Competitiveness in food-related industries is also increasingly based on technological and energy transformation, where process efficiency, sustainability, and innovation strengthen both market position and business resilience.
WorldFood Poland will take place from 14–16 April at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, at 12/14 Prądzyńskiego Street.
