It's not sulphur, it's cheese: discover the Non-Mineral Collection

Introducing the Non-Mineral Collection, a set of never-before-seen minerals: Rose Quartz from Madagascar, Calcite from South African mines, Sulphur stone from a volcano… Not to ruin the glamour, but none of that. This is just a piece of cheese that's been forgotten in the fridge for three days.

With this ironic nod to the changes that occur in food during refrigeration, Grupo Lantero unveils ReKeepEat, a new packaging designed to preserve freshness for longer and reduce food waste. The solution consists of a tray and lid made entirely of monomaterial of PET, incorporating advanced resealing technology that allows the package to be opened and closed without losing functionality.

ReKeepEat is a solution by Coexpan and Emsur, companies of Grupo Lantero, and has been fully developed at Innotech, their open and collaborative innovation center. The eco-design of this product serves a dual purpose: “Every decision in the design of ReKeepEat follows a clear principle-to minimize material usage and reduce environmental impact throughout the product's life cycle, from manufacturing to recycling,” says Walter Turci, R&D Director at Coexpan.

Both the tray and the lid are made of PET-a benefit that simplifies the recycling process by avoiding material mixing, enhancing recyclability, and contributing to the circular economy. Additionally, PET allows for the integration of recycled content into the manufacturing stream. The result? A simple experience for the consumer and more environmentally efficient manufacturing and recycling processes.

One product, many solutions

In addition to its functionality, ReKeepEat stands out for its versatility: it is suitable for sliced products, meats and ready meals, whether vacuum-packed or in modified atmosphere. Its design offers convenience to the consumer, allowing the use of more practical family-sized formats and easy product transport.

Its adaptable format also makes it an ideal solution for manufacturers, as it is packaging capable of meeting various market needs and generating new business opportunities.

With ReKeepEatGrupo Lantero strengthens its commitment to the circular economy and responsible innovation. Álvaro Bernard, Corporate Director of Innovation, Marketing and Sustainability at Grupo Lantero, defines this product as “a tangible example of how innovation can drive sustainability and open new business opportunities. With this solution, we reinforce our commitment to more responsible packaging that delivers real value to our clients.”

This packaging won first prize in the Big Company category of the 5th Eco-Design Competition, organized by the CONAMA Foundation, one of the most prominent events in its field. During the event, the jury praised its commitment to sustainability, high recyclability, and functional design as a milestone in the packaging sector.

It has also been awarded in the 2025 Foodtech Innovation Awardsas the best “Disruptive Solution in the Packaging Market” for its innovative proposal. Additionally, it is a finalist in the 2025 Sustainability Awards by Packaging Europe magazine, with the awards ceremony to be held in November in Utrecht.

Why ReKeepEat?

A package that has already proven its value: validated by the market and awarded by the industry. The ideal choice for brands committed to genuine sustainability. It brings you closer to your 2030 recyclability goals without compromising on design or functionality.

ReKeepEat drives real change toward more circular, efficient, and consumer-focused models
