19–20 November 2025 | Messe Karlsruhe, Germany
Around 420 exhibitors from 16 countries are expected to take part in the upcoming expoSE & expoDirekt 2025 trade fair duo, which will take place from 19 to 20 November 2025 at the Messe Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre. On an exhibition area of 25,000 square metres, the 29th edition of expoSE – Europe’s leading trade fair for asparagus and berry production – and the 14th edition of expoDirekt, Germany’s largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing, will showcase a wealth of innovations and proven solutions addressing the most pressing challenges in the agricultural sector — rising costs, labour shortages, and increasing quality demands.
Organised by the Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers (VSSE – Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e.V.), the event offers a comprehensive overview of the entire production and marketing chain for asparagus and berries — from soil preparation and cultivation to harvesting, packaging and sales. Exhibitors will also present technologies for outdoor vegetable and stone fruit production.
This year’s exhibitors will present numerous technological breakthroughs and machinery designed to improve efficiency, sustainability, and productivity in fruit and vegetable cultivation. Among the highlights:
Selvatici (Italy) introduces the Bivanga double-spade machine, offering either twice the working depth or double the operating speed compared to conventional spading machines.
Kollitsch (Germany) unveils a rear soil loosener designed for gentle deep cultivation in asparagus and sensitive crops.
Adelhelm Landtechnik Maschinenbau (Germany) presents a new vegetable hoe with a continuously adjustable tine head, enabling rapid width changes without conversion.
Metasa (Germany) showcases a ridge hoe capable of precise weeding up to the ridge flank without damaging protective films.
C.B. Agri (Italy) and 4Disc (Germany) display cutting-edge machinery for strawberry cultivation, focusing on resource efficiency and soil protection.
Ecorobotix (Switzerland) demonstrates its AI-powered precision sprayer, capable of reducing pesticide use by up to 95%.
Optiflux (Belgium) introduces an AI-controlled quality management system for fruit storage and handling, allowing real-time analysis and predictive maintenance.
Other exhibitors, including Pellenc, Neubauer Automation, Koppert, Biobest, and ILIP, will present smart, sustainable solutions for harvesting, plant protection, and eco-friendly packaging — reflecting the industry’s strong shift towards automation, biological control and circular production.
At expoDirekt 2025, exhibitors will focus on innovative solutions for direct agricultural sales, digitalisation, and automation. Among the new developments:
FrachtPilot introduces a digital control centre for managing farm shops and sales stands.
SmartStore24 presents a fully self-service “Asparagus & Strawberry Box” for roadside sales.
NonStop Shop launches vending machines with built-in calibrated scales for precise product billing.
Hafergut Görlich (Germany) and Chocolaterie Holzderber unveil a joint range of oat-based snacks, while DELTA (Poland) debuts eco-friendly packaging solutions for fruits and vegetables.
