WorldFood Poland 2026 has officially opened!

14 April 2026

The scent of new products, the taste of innovation, and the energy of international business – the 12th edition of the International Food and Drink Trade Fair WorldFood Poland and the International Trade Fair for Dietary Supplements and Functional Food NutraFood Poland has officially begun. During the opening ceremony, the organisers and partners stressed that this is where the pulse of the food industry can be felt today, where trends are born, and where key business relationships for the whole of Central and Eastern Europe are created.

The opening ceremony was attended by Agnieszka Szpaderska, Director of Business Development and Strategic Projects; Olga Flis, representing the Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship; and Jan Szopiński, Deputy Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture. Also present were Andrzej Gantner, Vice-President and Director General of the Polish Federation of Food Producers, and Bartosz Demianiuk, President of the National Council of Supplements and Nutritional Products.

Agnieszka Szpaderska highlighted the role of the event, which not only attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors from nearly every corner of the world to Warsaw, but above all integrates the international business community interested in the Central and Eastern European region. She also pointed to the event’s growing global position, confirmed by the increasing number of both exhibitors and visitors each year.

Jan Szopiński emphasised the impressive number of companies attending the fair to promote food products in Poland and abroad. He also pointed to the importance of building business contacts and exchanging views, wishing all participants successful meetings throughout the event.

Andrzej Gantner referred to the difficult situation currently facing the industry due to geopolitical conditions, in which producers and entrepreneurs must deal with price and supply shocks. He strongly underlined that for the economy to grow, trade exchange, exports, and imports are essential, referring to the optimistic saying that countries that trade with each other do not go to war.

An interesting perspective was offered by Bartosz Demianiuk, representing the nutraceutical sector, who described NutraFood Poland as the beating heart of supplement Europe and highlighted the remarkable journey of the Polish sector, which now supplies products to 150 countries. He added that the key strengths of the Polish industry are above all its technical expertise and uncompromising approach to quality, which today are becoming benchmarks for international standards.

All speakers agreed that the essence of success lies in good cooperation, openness to dialogue, and business meetings, wishing the exhibitors productive days at the fair.

An intensive first day

From the very morning, EXPO XXI in Warsaw was filled with professionals seeking inspiration, new products, business contacts, and industry knowledge. Nearly 370 exhibitors from more than 30 countries are creating an atmosphere charged with international energy, clearly fuelling the dynamic pace of discussions and meetings.

Companies from Italy, Spain, Central Europe, Asia, and many other regions are presenting their latest offerings. This year, as many as five national pavilions have been created – from Italy, Ukraine, Hungary, China, and Thailand – whose representatives are encouraging visitors to discover the flavours and inspirations of their countries.

The quality of the Polish food offer also stands out strongly, which was reflected in the views expressed by experts during the Teraz Polska Foundation debate entitled “The strength of Polish food brands in Poland and around the world”. Speakers pointed to the dynamic growth in the importance of Polish agri-food products on international markets.

The first day was also heated up by the excitement surrounding the “Flavours of the World” culinary shows, as well as the finale of the Golden Artichoke plant-based cuisine competition, held within the framework of SMAKKi Gastro Fair. Visitors should also save their energy for the culinary competitions planned for the next two days of the fair, including Street Food Masters, where creators of street cuisine will compete, as well as the coffee-focused perfection of the third day during Cup of Poland.

Meanwhile, NutraFood Poland is drawing attention with innovations in functional food and supplementation. Exhibitors are presenting ingredients and products that support health and wellbeing, confirming the impressive pace of growth in this market segment.

In the ColdChain Poland logistics sector, visitors can explore solutions ensuring full temperature control at every stage of the supply chain – crucial for food safety and consumer trust.

From the morning onward, the conference zones were filled with participants interested in practical knowledge on how to effectively develop business in the face of new trends and regulations.

And this is only the beginning. There are still two more days ahead, full of shows, premieres, tastings, and meetings with experts. It is a space where it becomes clearly visible where the food sector is heading – and that is why it is worth being here, to help shape its future.

WorldFood Poland is taking place from 14–16 April 2026 at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, located at 12/14 Prądzyńskiego Street.
