Blueberries Mexico 2026

19 May 2026

On 27–28 May 2026, the Hard Rock Hotel Guadalajara will host the XLI International Blueberries Seminar Mexico 2026, one of the most important events for the blueberry sector in Mexico. The seminar will be an important meeting point for growers, exporters, nurseries, consultants, technology companies, and representatives of the entire supply chain interested in the development of the Mexican blueberry market.

This year’s edition will focus on three key areas: market, genetics, and fruit quality. The programme will cover topics related to Mexico’s competitiveness in the global blueberry market, varietal strategy, nutrition management, pollination, salinity, plant stress, and fruit quality. This thematic scope shows that the seminar addresses the most important challenges currently facing the sector.

The Mexican blueberry industry enters the 2026 season with a well-established position in North America. According to data cited by Blueberries Consulting, the cultivation area has increased from 1,843 hectares in the 2014–2015 season to 11,000 hectares in the 2024–2025 season, while national production in the 2025–2026 season is expected to reach around 91,700 tonnes, of which approximately 75% will be exported as fresh fruit. Jalisco remains the leading production region, ahead of Michoacán, Sinaloa, and Baja California.

One of the important points in the programme will be a panel dedicated to Mexico’s position in relation to competing production origins. Participants will discuss who will capture a greater share of value in the next stage of the blueberry market’s development and what opportunities are opening up for Mexican exporters. The programme also includes sessions on varietal replacement, genetics selection, production efficiency, fruit quality, and product performance in international trade.

Blueberries Mexico 2026 is also a space for B2B networking and the presentation of technological solutions. The exhibition area will enable growers, exporters, and technology suppliers to connect directly with key decision-makers from the Mexican blueberry sector. For participants, it will be an opportunity to compare offers, discuss specific production and export needs, and explore solutions related to nutrition, genetics, pollination, salinity, post-harvest, and crop services.

Blueberries Mexico 2026 is an important event for companies that want to better understand market developments, expand their network of contacts, and enter into dialogue with the leading players of the Mexican blueberry industry. For the sector, it will be another opportunity to combine technical knowledge, market analysis, and practical business discussions in one place.
