Agritech East Africa 2026: Addis Ababa to host a key meeting point for the agricultural and agri-tech sectors in East Africa
From 14 to 16 August 2026, Addis International Convention Centre in Addis Ababa will host Agritech East Africa 2026, described as Ethiopia’s leading event dedicated to the agriculture, agritech, agribusiness, agrochemical, and agri-input industries. The exhibition will be an important B2B platform for companies looking to expand their presence in Ethiopia’s rapidly growing agricultural market and across the wider East African region.
The event is designed as a marketing and business networking platform for global manufacturers, exporters, and technology providers seeking to showcase their latest solutions to regional buyers. Organisers expect more than 100 exhibitors, over 4,000 professional visitors and buyers, more than 3,500 sqm of exhibition space, and participation from at least 8 countries.
The significance of the exhibition is reinforced by the fundamentals of Ethiopia’s agricultural sector. Agriculture contributes more than 40% of the country’s GDP, employs nearly 80% of the population, and generates around 90% of foreign exchange earnings. Ethiopia also has more than 51 million hectares of potential arable land, while the government is placing strong emphasis on irrigation, mechanisation, and value-added processing.
Agritech East Africa 2026 will connect international and regional market players with importers, distributors, agribusiness companies, government authorities, agro-industrial parks, food processors, consultants, and investors from Ethiopia and the wider East African region. This makes the exhibition a strategic gateway for building partnerships, expanding sales, and identifying new distribution channels.
The exhibition profile will cover a broad spectrum of agricultural and processing solutions, including agrochemicals, fertilisers and crop care solutions, irrigation systems, pumps, drip and solar irrigation products, tractors, farm machinery and equipment, seeds and farm inputs, poultry, livestock and veterinary solutions, storage, cold chain and warehousing, grain processing and post-harvest machinery, forestry and horticulture equipment, as well as agro-processing, food processing and packaging machinery.
Agritech East Africa 2026 is an important meeting place for companies interested in agricultural technology, mechanisation, irrigation, crop protection, and the development of the agricultural value chain. For the industry, it will be an opportunity to explore the latest innovations, assess demand-supply gaps, identify investment opportunities, and build long-term business relationships in one of the region’s most promising markets.
