Africa Food Show Kenya has announced its next edition as a co-located event with Hotel Expo, creating one of the most comprehensive platforms for the food, hospitality, and tourism sectors in East Africa. In addition, the Baristas Association of Kenya joins as an official industry partner, further strengthening the show’s position as a full-spectrum platform for Kenya’s food and hospitality ecosystem.
The event is expected to bring together more than 200 exhibitors, showcase over 300 products, attract participants from 12 countries, facilitate more than 1,000 B2B meetings, welcome over 5,000 visitors, and offer 20 conferences. The scale of the event reflects Nairobi’s growing importance as a meeting point for the food and hospitality industries in the region.
The exhibition will cover the full value chain, from agriculture to gastronomy and hospitality. Key sectors represented will include food processing, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, beverages and functional drinks, sustainable packaging and labelling, plant-based and alternative proteins, HoReCa, food safety and quality assurance, packaging technologies, machinery, agricultural tools and equipment, and agricultural inputs.
The co-location of Africa Food Show Kenya and Hotel Expo is designed to create a unified platform covering the entire supply and service chain — from farm to fork and from kitchen to guest room. This format will enable producers, buyers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs, and tourism operators to meet in one place and develop cross-sector cooperation. The programme will also feature live demonstrations, culinary showcases, and workshops focused on food innovation, hotel operations, and beverage excellence.
An important part of the event will also be the presence of the Baristas Association of Kenya, which will bring a strong coffee dimension to the programme. Organisers are planning live barista competitions and championship qualifiers, cupping sessions, brewing masterclasses, a dedicated Coffee & Beverage Pavilion featuring Kenyan single-origin coffees, equipment suppliers, and roasters, as well as workshops on coffee entrepreneurship, café management, and global specialty trends.
The event is also supported by major government and industry institutions. The Kenya Tourism Board will help amplify the show’s international reach by linking food culture with Kenya’s broader culinary tourism strategy. The Kenya Coast Tourist Association brings the perspective of the country’s coastal hospitality sector, connecting Swahili culinary heritage and the thriving seafood industry to the event. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development provides policy support and access to Kenya’s full agricultural ecosystem, from smallholder farmers to large-scale agri-processors.
As the organisers underline, Africa Food Show Kenya is intended to be more than a trade fair — it is designed as a platform that will help shape the future of Kenya’s food economy and strengthen East Africa’s position as a global hospitality destination.
Africa Food Show Kenya is an important meeting place for food producers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, technology suppliers, the specialty coffee community, and business partners interested in East Africa. For the industry, it will be an opportunity to build relationships, gain market insight, and strengthen visibility in one of the region’s most promising markets.
