PRIVEL 2026 launches second edition of Private Label Congress to drive strategic knowledge of the private label sector
Organised by Alimarket, the 2nd PRIVEL Private Label Congress will be held on 4 and 5 November at IFEMA MADRID.
PRIVEL 2026 has bolstered its value proposition with the launch of the second edition of the Private Label Congress, a specialised forum of the highest level that will once again place knowledge, innovation and strategic vision at the heart of the conversation in the sector. Organised by Alimarket, the Congress will take place on 4 and 5 November 2026 at IFEMA MADRID as part of the second edition of PRIVEL, the trade fair for the private label industry that's aimed at fostering opportunities for business partnerships between manufacturers and retailers.
This second edition of the Congress cements PRIVEL’s position as a hugely important gathering for the entire private label value chain. The trade fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID in conjunction with Alimarket as strategic partner, was created to become the leading Spanish professional platform for the sector, driving the connection between producers, distributors, buyers and international operators, with a special focus on expansion into Latin America and other high-potential markets.
In this context, the Congress takes on strategic importance as a space for analysis and forward-looking discussions to address the major challenges facing the private label sector: changing consumer behaviour, product innovation, industrial efficiency, the manufacturer-distributor relationship, international growth, sustainability, quality, competitiveness and adaptation to new consumer categories. PRIVEL presents a programme that combines a trade exhibition, targeted networking and high-value content, reinforcing its position as an event designed to generate business, knowledge and a vision for the future.
The 2nd Private Label Congress will feature leading national and international speakers who will offer their strategic and cross-cutting perspective on the present and future of the sector. Confirmed speakers include Jesús López, Head of Supplier Management at Lidl; Andrés Escobar, Managing Director of Tiendas Ísimo; Alberto Moriana, former Senior Vice-President at P&G, board member at InRetail and Senior Advisor at McKinsey; Silvia Segarra, Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at ALDI Spain; Nicolás Braun, Managing Director of La Anónima; Nuno Brito Afonso, Chairman of Daymon International; José Antonio Latre, Senior Advisor and board member at AECOC and Zelnova Zeltia; and Óscar Moreno, Director of the FMCG division at Alimarket.
Sponsored by Tosca, LPR and Grupo La Plana, the confirmed attendance of these leading experts reinforces the international and strategic scope of the Congress, combining the perspectives of retailers, manufacturers, consultants, distributors and FMCG specialists with direct experience in product range management, supplier relations, innovation, private label development, commercial expansion and understanding new consumer trends.
The second edition of PRIVEL also comes at a time of strong growth for private label products, a segment that has gained prominence in consumer purchasing habits and in the growth strategies of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. In Spain, private label products already account for over 50 per cent of the shopping basket for numerous products, while in Europe they represent between 36 per cent and 40 per cent of the total consumer goods market, with an estimated turnover of €400 billion in 2024.
This scenario reinforces Spain’s role as a particularly important market in the development, production, innovation, export and consumption of private label products. PRIVEL 2026 has responded to this reality with a programme – well received by the business community – across 4 and 5 November 2026, that brings together manufacturers, distributors, retailers, buying groups and foreign trade operators.
With the launch of its second edition, PRIVEL 2026 cements its place as a gathering for anticipating trends, fostering strategic partnerships and showcasing the potential of the Spanish private retail label industry in international markets. The combination of the trade fair, conferences and buyers programme makes the event a key tool for strengthening the sector’s competitiveness and supporting its growth at a decisive moment for the FMCG goods sector.
