Poznań as a Hub for Innovation: TAROPAK 2026 Returns in September

27 July 2026

Poznań will once again become a centre for modern technologies and innovation in packaging and labelling. From 23 to 25 September 2026, the next edition of TAROPAK will take place at the Poznań International Fair. For companies representing packaging technology, warehouse logistics and industrial automation, the event is an important fixture in the annual business calendar.

The Polish and global packaging markets are developing at an unprecedented pace. Growth is being driven by environmental regulations, the rapid expansion of e-commerce and the increasing need to automate production processes. The upcoming edition of TAROPAK responds directly to these challenges, bringing together representatives of almost every branch of industry – from food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals to furniture, automotive and modern logistics.

Industry synergy: one event, two markets

One of the key features of the upcoming edition is the synergy created by the parallel organisation of two complementary trade events: TAROPAK and POLAGRA. Visitors will be able to access both exhibitions with a single ticket, providing an opportunity to explore the broader ecosystem of interconnected industries.

The decision to hold both events at the same time reflects the strong relationship between the packaging and food sectors. With as much as 70% of total packaging production going directly to the food industry, the combined format creates a natural business environment.

Participants will be able to follow the entire value chain – from recipes, raw materials and food processing technologies through packaging machinery and automated labelling to the finished product in sustainable packaging.

The joint exhibition space will also provide direct access to representatives of the Food, Foodtech and HoReCa sectors, as well as major retail chains and retailers such as Lidl and Żabka.

A comprehensive market overview and innovation in action

The TAROPAK 2026 exhibition has been designed to address the challenges facing modern industry. Visitors will be able to explore a broad range of raw materials and semi-finished products, including modern polymers, cardboard, flexible films and laminates.

The event will also showcase packaging solutions for e-commerce, specialised containers for the medical and household chemicals sectors, as well as biodegradable protective materials.

Live machinery demonstrations will form an important part of the exhibition. Operating production lines, filling machines, wrapping systems, industrial robots, blister packaging equipment, advanced labelling machines and product marking systems will be presented in action.

Visitors will also have access to warehouse management technologies, including internal transport equipment, storage systems and specialised software for logistics information management and barcode systems.

Industry leaders and international networking

The importance of the Poznań event is reflected in the strong representation of market leaders. A number of major companies and technology suppliers have already confirmed their participation in the TAROPAK & POLAGRA exhibition block, including Lidl, Żabka, PHU BEST, Filmat, InfoGraf, Coffee Service, Schur, ORWAK, Sigma, MHLift, BOO, EcoSave Group and SEFKO.

For exhibitors, participation provides an opportunity to strengthen their competitive position and develop direct business relationships.

The scale of the event is illustrated by the previous edition, which attracted more than 9,000 professional visitors. Through the Hosted Buyers programme and dedicated invitation system, key buyers and managers from 41 countriesare expected to attend, creating opportunities for export development and international business contacts without the need for extensive overseas travel.

Industry discussions and conferences on the main stage

TAROPAK is not only an exhibition platform but also an important centre for knowledge exchange. A series of conferences and debates involving industry experts will take place on the joint main stage in Aleja Lipowa.

One of the main programme highlights will be a debate reviewing the first year of operation of Poland’s deposit return system. Market leaders, producers and retailers will analyse operating costs, logistics challenges facing both small and large stores, and the actual level of consumer participation, while identifying areas where improvements may still be needed.

Another key panel will focus on implementing climate and sustainability targets across the supply chain. Experts will discuss ways to reduce carbon footprints and limit the use of plastic while maintaining business profitability.

New export directions: Africa as an opportunity for food and packaging

Changes in global trade are encouraging Polish producers to look increasingly beyond their traditional European export markets. Africa is becoming one of the regions attracting greater attention, driven by rapid population growth and significant economic transformation.

A growing middle class, rapid urbanisation, increasing purchasing power and investment in trade and logistics are making a number of African markets increasingly attractive to international food producers.

Responding to these trends, a new initiative will accompany the trade fairs: the Africa Food & Trade Forum. The event will bring together importers, government representatives and business partners from African countries, creating a platform for dedicated B2B meetings and for presenting the capabilities of Poland’s agri-food sector.

The combination of TAROPAK with POLAGRA’s Africa-focused programme also creates opportunities for companies planning exports to African markets. Food producers will be able to explore packaging lines, durable packaging materials and labelling technologies designed to support safe and cost-effective international transport.
