
ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 officially opened today in Hong Kong with a dynamic first day. The exhibition halls welcomed thousands of fresh produce professionals from around the world who came to connect, discover new solutions and develop valuable business relationships.
From the official opening through to the end of the day, busy aisles and numerous business meetings created a strong start to the three-day event.
The first day of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 opened with more than 760 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions, showcasing their latest products, technologies and solutions for the industry.
Across 27 national and group pavilions, exhibitors presented fresh products, new concepts and innovative solutions from across the global fresh produce sector.
The exhibition floor reflects the full breadth of the fresh produce value chain – from fruit and vegetables to logistics, machinery, packaging, smart agriculture and technology.
With a large number of professional visitors from around the world expected to attend, AFL 2026 provides a dynamic platform for international networking, business development and discovering the latest industry innovations.
On the evening before the official opening of the exhibition, the ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 Welcome Eveningwas held at The Regent Hong Kong.
The event was co-hosted by Guangzhou Jiangnan Agricultural Group and Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market, with Asiafruit Magazine serving as Knowledge Partner.
Around 350 industry professionals attended the evening, creating opportunities for networking and collaboration ahead of the main exhibition.
The first day also featured the official Opening Tour, highlighting the international character of the event. Representatives of the global fresh produce industry came together to exchange knowledge, discover new solutions and explore further opportunities for cooperation.
The opening day of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 concluded with the Sundowner Party, bringing exhibitors and visitors together in a more informal atmosphere.
Live music, drinks and relaxed networking provided an opportunity to continue conversations and build relationships after an intensive day on the exhibition floor.
The first day of the Asiafruit Knowledge Centre brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss some of the most important issues influencing the development of the fresh produce sector across Asia.
The Asiafruit Showcase highlighted Australian avocados, agri-food cooperation and the expanding nuts and dried fruit sector.
On 3 September, the programme will focus on technology and innovation. The Asia Fruit Awards presentation will also take place at 2:00 pm on the Asiafruit Congress stage.
The first day also featured the Nuts & Dried Fruit Forum, where industry experts analysed the factors driving category growth and the potential of emerging markets.
On 3 September, the Frozen Fruit & Vegetables Forum will examine the latest trends, innovations and business developments shaping the frozen produce sector.
This year marks the official debut of FRESHTech, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s dedicated technology platform for the fresh produce industry.
The FRESHTech area opened in Hall 3 and was the first stop on the official Opening Tour.
Technology is playing an even greater role at this year’s event. Around 55 technology companies are participating in ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026, with more than 35 exhibiting in the dedicated FRESHTech Zone.
Participating companies represent 22 countries and regions, presenting technologies and practical solutions covering different stages of the fresh produce value chain.
The first day of the two-day conference programme also began on the FRESHTech Stage.
Under the theme “From Field to Port,” speakers discussed smart agriculture, automation, postharvest technology and freshness solutions.
The sessions presented real-world examples of how new technologies are already being implemented by companies operating across different parts of the fresh produce supply chain.
The three finalists for the inaugural FRESHTech Innovation Award were also announced on the opening day:
On 3 September, from 3:00 to 3:45 pm, the finalists will present their solutions on the FRESHTech Stage. The first-ever winner of the FRESHTech Innovation Award will then be announced.
ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026 is welcoming thousands of buyers from more than 75 countries and regions.
The enhanced Global Buyer Programme is designed to facilitate direct connections between buyers and exhibitors. Through the FreshMatch platform, participants can identify relevant suppliers and pre-schedule one-to-one business meetings.
The programme is intended to make participation in the exhibition more efficient while creating new opportunities for international trade and cooperation.
A dedicated Retailer’s Club has also been created for retail chains, fresh produce buyers and category managers.
The programme includes VIP fast-track entry and access to the private Retailer’s Lounge, designed for confidential business meetings.
Buyers can also take advantage of pre-arranged one-to-one meetings with growers and exporters from around the world.
Following a busy opening day, the second day will bring further business meetings, technology presentations, market insights and industry events.
On 3 September, particular emphasis will be placed on technology and innovation, with highlights including the Asia Fruit Awards, the Frozen Fruit & Vegetables Forum and the final presentations for the FRESHTech Innovation Award.
