16 September 2026 | Royal Tulip City Center, Tangier, Morocco
On 16 September 2026, Tangier will host the Mediterranean Meeting – International Berries Seminar Morocco 2026, an international event dedicated to the development of the berry sector in Morocco and the Mediterranean region.
Organised by Blueberries Consulting, the event will bring together growers, exporters, consultants, researchers and suppliers of technologies and solutions for berry production. The seminar will provide an opportunity to analyse the main challenges facing this fast-growing industry – from production and fruit quality to logistics, market access and maintaining competitiveness in international trade.
In recent years, Morocco has become one of the most important producers and exporters of berries in the region. Its favourable location in relation to the European market, the development of production infrastructure and investment in modern technologies have created the conditions for rapid growth in blueberry, raspberry and other berry crops.
As production expands, issues such as maintaining quality, farm efficiency, cost management, cold-chain logistics, water availability and the ability to meet regular supply programmes for international buyers are becoming increasingly important.
The International Berries Seminar Morocco will provide a platform for local growers to compare their experience with the knowledge of experts and companies operating in other major berry markets.
One of the main topics will be how to further increase production efficiency while maintaining the quality standards required by international buyers.
In the berry sector, increasing attention is being paid to the right choice of varieties, crop management, fertilisation, plant protection and technologies that enable more precise use of resources.
Post-harvest handling also remains a crucial element. Appropriate cooling, packing, sorting and transport organisation have a direct impact on shelf life and the ability to deliver fruit to more distant markets.
The seminar will also serve as a platform for presenting technologies and services designed for berry growers.
For farms expanding production, particularly important solutions include irrigation and fertigation, crop monitoring, biostimulation, plant protection, post-harvest technologies and methods for improving fruit quality and shelf life.
Technological development is becoming increasingly important in the context of cost pressure and limited access to resources, especially water.
Beyond production, the commercial dimension will also be an important part of the meeting. Growing global berry supply is increasing competition between exporting countries, which means that not only production volumes, but also supply consistency, quality, logistics and the ability to adapt products to specific customer requirements are becoming more important.
Tangier, located between Europe and Africa, provides a natural setting for discussions on trade development between Morocco, the European Union, Africa and other international markets.
International Berries Seminar Morocco 2026 will combine conference content with direct meetings between representatives of different parts of the berry production and distribution chain.
For growers and technology companies, the event may serve primarily as a place to exchange practical experience, discover new solutions and establish business contacts in one of the most dynamically developing berry markets.
