Fruit Attraction 2026 – One of the World’s Leading Fresh Produce Trade Fairs Starts Next Week

29 September 2026

In just one week, Fruit Attraction 2026, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the fruit and vegetable industry, will open its doors in Madrid. The 18th edition will take place from 6 to 8 October 2026 at IFEMA MADRID and will bring together producers, exporters, importers, retailers, distributors, logistics operators and technology providers from across the global fresh produce sector.

Organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, Fruit Attraction has become an important international business platform for the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain. The event is focused on commercial meetings, international trade, new market development, innovation and planning for upcoming production and sales seasons.

The scale of the 2026 edition reflects its international importance. Organisers expect more than 2,500 participating companies, around 121,000 professional visitors from 150 countries, and 162,000 m² of gross exhibition space across 10 halls at IFEMA MADRID.

The exhibition is divided into four key areas: Fresh Produce, focused on fresh fruit and vegetables; Auxiliary Industry, covering solutions and services supporting the entire production and commercial chain; Fresh Food Logistics, dedicated to refrigerated transport, storage, cold-chain technology and logistics for perishable products; and Innova & Tech, showcasing developments in agricultural technology, biotechnology, automation and smart farming.

International business development will be one of the main priorities of the event. Through the International Buyers Programme, Fruit Attraction plans to invite around 700 major buyers, retail purchasing managers, importers and wholesalers from more than 50 countries. In addition, China and the United Arab Emirates have been selected as the Guest Importing Countries for 2026, creating additional opportunities for direct commercial contacts and market development.

The programme will also include specialist congresses and industry events such as the Biofruit Congress, Avocado Congress, Organic Tour, Factoría Chef and Innovation Hub. A major focus of this year’s edition will be the potato, selected as the flagship product of Fruit Attraction 2026. The fair will host the 1st International Potato Symposium, bringing together international experts to discuss the challenges and future of the sector.

For companies operating in the fresh produce industry, Fruit Attraction is therefore not only an exhibition but also a major international meeting point for business, sourcing, innovation and networking, offering direct access to buyers and partners from markets around the world.
