FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 – food processing technologies, packaging and food safety in Phnom Penh

1 September 2026

28–30 September 2026 | Diamond Island Exhibition and Convention Centre (DIECC), Phnom Penh, Cambodia

FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 will take place from 28 to 30 September 2026 at the Diamond Island Exhibition and Convention Centre in Phnom Penh. The event will focus on technologies for food production and processing, bringing together producers, processors, machinery and packaging suppliers, representatives of the agricultural sector, investors and public institutions interested in the modernisation of Cambodia’s agri-food industry.

From agricultural production to processing and packaging

FOODTEC Cambodia will focus on solutions covering successive stages of the food production chain. Key areas will include processing technologies, production automation, machinery, packaging solutions, as well as systems supporting food safety and quality.

An important part of the event will also be the use of technology to improve production efficiency and sustainability.

The exhibition is aimed at agricultural producers, exporters and distributors, food manufacturers and processing companies, fertiliser and feed suppliers, packaging producers, rice mills, investors, machinery suppliers and companies developing technologies for agriculture and the food industry.

More than 100 exhibitors and 5,000 professional visitors

FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 will cover approximately 2,000 m² of exhibition space. More than 100 exhibitors are expected to participate, while the event is set to attract around 5,000 professional visitors connected with food, agriculture, technology and investment.

The format is designed not only to showcase machinery and new solutions, but also to facilitate direct contacts with buyers, distributors, producers and investors interested in developing business in Cambodia.

Modernisation of Cambodia’s agri-food sector

The importance of new technologies is increasing as Cambodia’s agriculture and food-processing industries continue to develop. Agriculture accounts for around 22% of the country’s GDP and employs approximately 30% of the workforce, while major products include rice, cassava, mangoes, cashew nuts, pepper and rubber.

In 2025, exports of agricultural products reached 11.89 million tonnes with a value of USD 4.18 billion.

At the same time, the domestic food-processing sector is expanding, including processed rice, seafood, poultry and dried fruit. Growing urbanisation, changing consumption patterns and export development are increasing demand for modern production lines, packaging systems, automation and technologies improving product safety.

Precision agriculture and digitalisation

FOODTEC will also highlight technologies linking agriculture with digital transformation.

Cambodia is developing solutions related to precision agriculture, IoT-based irrigation systems and digital supply-chain management, including blockchain-based applications.

For agricultural producers, these technologies can enable more precise management of resources, while for processing companies they can improve quality control, traceability and production efficiency.

Government and industry support

FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 is organised with the involvement of Cambodia’s Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation. Government partners also include the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The event is also supported by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, Cambodia Association of Food Science and Technology and Cambodia Food Manufacturer Association.

The involvement of public institutions, industry organisations and the scientific community is intended to create a platform for knowledge exchange between producers, businesses and technology providers.

A platform for investment and new business contacts

FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 is designed to function both as a technology exhibition and as a networking platform.

Companies will be able to showcase solutions for processing, packaging and food safety, while visitors will have the opportunity to compare technologies, identify new suppliers and discuss investment in the modernisation of production facilities.

The event may be particularly relevant to international machinery and technology suppliers interested in entering the developing Cambodian market and, more broadly, Southeast Asia.

FOODTEC Cambodia 2026 will take place from 28 to 30 September 2026 at the Diamond Island Exhibition and Convention Centre (DIECC), Koh Pich, Phnom Penh. Admission is intended for professional trade visitors.
