Almost 100,000 trade fair visitors: Grüne Woche 2024 records strong first weekend

21 January 2024

Well-attended halls, lively discussions at the stands and a wide range of offers for visitors - the balance after the first weekend of Grüne Woche is consistently positive. The leading international trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture is still welcoming visitors to Berlin until Sunday, 28 January.

Lively halls, a lively exchange at the stands and a varied trade fair programme - the Grüne Woche leaves visitors and exhibitors satisfied after the first weekend of the fair. Almost 100,000 visitors flocked to the Berlin Exhibition Centre on the first three days of the event.

"People are curious, our exhibitors offer a wide range of products and the atmosphere in the halls is positive - these are the right ingredients for a successful trade fair experience," observes Lars Jaeger, Director of the Grüne Woche.

Extensive programme for the next seven days

The Grüne Woche is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until 28 January. On Friday 26 January, the fair will be open until 8 pm. Visitors to the fair can look forward to the state days in Brandenburg (22 January), Saxony (22 January) and Saxony-Anhalt (22 January). The new young generation hub training hall (22-25 January) will help school pupils to find an apprenticeship. Around 90 skilled trades will be presented in a practical way in Hall 6.2b. At the Startup Days (23/24 January), young companies will present their innovations from the agtech and food sectors in two-minute pitches to the trade fair audience and jury. The venue is the Grüne Woche stage in Hall 6.2a. Another public highlight is the Hippologica equestrian show (26-28 January). An extensive stage programme, daily cooking shows and creative workshops round off the visit to the fair. Further information in the programme overview.
