Fruit Attraction 2022, the world’s leading fruit and vegetable sector event, is getting ready to roll

In mid-February, applications will open for all companies in the international fruit and vegetable sector who wish to take part.
 
The 14th Fruit Attraction, organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, will be held from 4 to 6 October. With optimistic participation forecasts, which are estimated to reach 2019 levels, the application period will be launched in mid-February. Companies in the fruit and vegetable sector have another date at the world’s leading fruit and vegetable marketing event.
 
This year, the Invited Importing Countries Programme, featuring the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Canada, will once again be joining the powerful International Buyers Programme. This event seeks to promote trade relations between non-EU markets and the European Union, accompanied by a full programme of round tables, guided tours of the fair and B2B sessions. Madrid, which will once again be the world fruit and vegetable capital, receiving more than 1,000 buyers, retail purchase managers, importers and wholesalers invited from all over the world. 
 
The fair will feature a new single-theme area known as the startups hub, dedicated to newly created companies in both the Fresh Produce segment and Auxiliary Industry founded between 1 January 2021 and 1 September 2022. This year, strawberries are the star product at Fruit Attraction 2022.
 
Fresh Food Logistics, organised by IFEMA, is the new sector platform for fresh food logistics, transport and cold chain management. The fair is once again demonstrating its commitment to the three areas of solutions and services related to innovation in the agricultural sector: Biotech Attraction, Smart Agro and Smart Water & Energy. It is also promoting the classic Ecorganic Market, a specialist area for the marketing and export of organic products, fresh produce and auxiliary industries.
 
The Innovation Hub and Innovation Forum are areas dedicated to sector innovation and new business ideas. The fair will be hosting the Innovation Hub Awards, which have become a major event marking support for entrepreneurship in the sector.
 
Factory Chef, Fruit Attraction’s gastronomic space, will once feature attractive show-cooking demonstrations. 
 
In a further display of its commitment to digitisation and as a complement to the face-to-face event, the event also welcomes the whole Fruit Attraction community on its LIVEConnect platform which gives all its members the opportunity to stay connected 365 days a year. This is a powerful communication tool that generates visibility and brand awareness, as well as offering networking options, a catalogue of products and services and access to high-quality specialist content.
