Arrigoni, agrotextiles for water saving and the reduction of phytochemicals at Fruit Logistica 2022
17 March 2022
Water saving, high durability of products, reduction or zero use of chemicals: these are some of the strengths of the Arrigoni range of protective agrotextiles on display at Fruit Logistica, the international fruit and vegetable exhibition scheduled from 5 to 7 April 2022 in the Berlin exhibition center. The company will present – this year onsite again – all its leading solutions and the latest field tests on protection systems with high added value at stand B-04 in Hall 6.1.
"More than ever 2022 is a special year for Fruit Logistica – says Paolo Arrigoni, CEO of Arrigoni Group – and we are proud to confirm our presence. The world of agriculture, moreover, is experiencing a very delicate phase, where well known challenges are added to new ones. Our goal is to present ourselves as the reference partner of agricovering. In this sense also the recent entry into our Group of Lirsa, a historical company specialized in agrofilm. In other words, we intend to propose our functional solutions to the increasingly urgent challenges of modern agriculture, starting with water saving and the most significant reduction of chemistry in the fields. Always keeping well in mind, however, the durability of our protections".
Among the Arrigoni systems brought to the attention of the international public of Fruit Logistica 2022, Biorete Air Plus® stands out. This range of innovative anti-insect screens is marked out by its low diameter monofilament with high resistance, allowing greater ventilation and safe production. In addition to the substantial reduction or zeroing of the use of chemicals, there are several advantages that this solution ensures: better ventilation compared to standard systems, reduced temperatures inside greenhouses, lower occurrence of cryptogamic diseases, better fruit set and plant development, more quality and sensory properties of plants.
Prisma® is instead a range of protective screens that optimize the diffusion of light while ensuring temperature control, for high-tech greenhouses. With this solution the light spreads more evenly around the plant, even in the lower parts. This reduces sunburn damage and improves the polyphenol content in vegetables. The lower temperature also facilitates the work of the operators and ensures considerable water savings.
Designed for use on tensile structures, the Robuxta® range in white color with LD additive for the diffusion of light allows the reflection of infrared rays, with consequent and effective temperature control. It helps then reducing up to 5 degrees the temperature in the hot months and increase productivity up to 70%.
Finally, Protecta® is a very dense weave fabric, which prevents heavy rains from reaching crops, but at the same time allows adequate air passage and is the ideal protection of crops subject to the fruit cracking.
