Sanlucar welcomes the Promotion 2021 of the Dual Training in wholesale and foreign trade management
22 September 2021
Students of the third promotion in Spain of Dual Vocational Training in Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management have already started their course. The educational program imported to Spain in 2019 by SanLucar and the German Business School- FEDA Madrid has aroused great interest among young talents due to the high employability rate offered by this training model imported from Germany.
Dual vocational training is a 2-year program that alternates theory and practice, with the aim of quickly connecting students with the world of business. The apprentices receive a salary throughout their degree, while they are trained according to the needs of the companies, they are doing their internships with, which facilitates their future recruitment.
This is the case of 4 students of the first promotion of the Dual Training who did their internships at SanLucar. After their graduation last June, all of them are now part of SanLucar headquarters staff in Spain, occupying different positions in the departments of Human Resources, Logistics, Sales and Purchasing.
"We could not be more satisfied with the outcome of the first edition of our Dual Training program. On the one side, it is certainly a great springboard for young people who want to enter the labour market as soon as possible, on the other hand, companies such as SanLucar, taking on young apprentices as trainees, have the opportunity to create their pool of skilled professionals in key areas of the daily operations", explains Mandy Zwahlen, Sales Training Manager at SanLucar.
Promotion 2021-202314 young people make up the third promotion of Dual Vocational Training in Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management. A qualification, certified by the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain - AHK, in which students receive 35% of theoretical classes, combined with 65% of practical work experience in companies. The theory classes are held at the SanLucar offices in Spain and are certified by the German Business School FEDA Madrid. For the practical part of the training, a total of 7 companies participate this year: SanLucar, Edeka, Primafrio, Transfesa, Clasol, Azul y Rojo, as well as Tedi. Likewise, the program continues with the dynamic that began last year due to the pandemic, combining face-to-face classes attendance with "homeschooling", in order to bring students closer to the new reality of teleworking.
For those who wish to follow the Dual Vocational Training program in Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management in Spain, a new call for the fourth promotion of the program will be opened at the end of the year. To take part in it, candidates must be school graduates and have a B1 level in English, German and Spanish.
