yello®, the yellow apple for real connoisseurs
5 April 2023
The new yellow apple with its exotic flavour and fine, crispy flesh will still be available for a few more weeks.
An exotic aroma, a tempting, bright yellow colour and fine, crispy flesh: with these characteristics, the yello® apple has won the hearts of its consumers, who will still find it on the market for a few more weeks.
yello® is an apple for real connoisseurs, which has made its way from the foothills of the Hida Mountains, also known as the “Japanese Alps”, to the valleys of South Tyrol - Südtirol thanks to the experience and skills of South Tyrolean fruit farmers. In fact, yello® is distributed in Europe by the members of the VOG and VIP Consortia.
“yello® is more than just an apple: it’s an exclusive speciality,” explains VOG Sales Manager Klaus Hölzl, “so it’s carved out a niche for itself amongst consumers who demand the best and are in search of a special experience. And the sampling sessions held this year prove it: anyone who tries yello® can’t wait to taste it again.”
yello® provides a flavour experience for modern consumers in the yellow skin apple segment, but its colour is not just a matter of appearance: it is a sign of quality. It is only when perfectly ripe that this apple acquires its distinctive bright yellow colour, and it is then that it develops its characteristic pineapple and banana flavours, and its intense sweetness balanced by slightly acidic notes.
“yello® has exactly what it takes to satisfy the modern consumer looking for a connoisseurs’ apple,” comments VOG Marketing Manager Hannes Tauber. “Because of its limited availability, buying it is an opportunity not to be missed, and it’s an apple that raises the value of the entire category, which we’re proud to have brought to Europe.”
After reaching the markets at the end of October, yello® will continue to delight the most demanding consumers until the end of April, with its peerless flavour experience and its rich aromas and fragrances.
