Prognosfruit 2022 releases its annual apple and pear crop forecast

Prognosfruit’s 2022 European apple and pear crop forecast reveals that apple production is set to increase by 1% compared to 2021, while the upcoming pear crop is estimated to increase by 20% compared to last year's record low crop of the decade and by 5% compared to the 3-year average. Foodiverse to present an array of its freshest products at Fruit Attraction

Foodiverse, a fresh and ready-to-eat food specialist, will be taking its healthy revolution to Fruit Attraction, which will be held in Madrid (Spain) from the 4th to the 6th of October (hall 7, stand D02). The group from Spain will be attending the event with a fresh, innovative range including both vegetables straight from the fields and fresh-cut and ready-to-eat or cook products, to help consumers follow a healthy diet.

WAPA releases July’s apple and pear stock figures

WAPA, the World Apple and Pear Association, has released the apple and pear stock figures from 1 July 2022. The figures show that in Europe apple stocks increased by 16.5% compared to 2021 to reach 535,521 T, while pear stocks increased by 27% to 27,535 T. In the USA, pear stocks reached 10,403 T (75.2% above 2021). WAPA also invites all media representatives to connect to the press conference of Prognosfruit 2022 on 4 August 2022.

Freshfel Europe stresses the importance of an international masters' degree for fresh produce industry professionals

BASF ‘revitalises’ watermelons and melons with a ‘deluge’ of innovative concepts and solutions
