An Evening Dedicated to Healthy Eating and Quality – the Europeanfruits Campaign Debuts in Warsaw

Journalists, opinion leaders, and representatives of the agri-food sector gathered in Warsaw for an information event dedicated to fresh European fruit, organised as part of the Europeanfruits campaign. The project is co-financed by the European Union and implemented simultaneously in Greece, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

The meeting took place at Mykonos Greek Restaurant & Bar and marked the first campaign activity with a physical presence in Poland, representing an important step in building direct relationships with the media and food market professionals. 

During the event, the main objectives and assumptions of the Europeanfruits campaign were presented, focusing on promoting the value of fresh European fruit, high production quality and safety standards, and the role of fruit and vegetables in a balanced daily diet as the foundation of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

The substantive part of the meeting attracted strong interest from participants. Klaudia Buczek, a nutrition expert, shared practical tips on how to compose everyday meals in a simple and accessible way. Dr. Spyridon Mamalis, Professor of Marketing and President of ELGO–DIMITRA, highlighted the importance of strict quality standards and control systems in European fruit production. Athanasios Paschoulas, Marketing Project Manager at ASEPOP Naoussa, presented the programme beneficiary and its activities aimed at promoting high-quality European fruit.

The event concluded with a networking dinner and a tasting of fresh European kiwis, providing an opportunity for informal exchange of views and further industry discussions.

The Europeanfruits campaign will continue its information and promotional activities in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Greece, bringing the benefits of fresh European fruit closer to consumers and encouraging their everyday consumption.
