Dulcis™ boosts overseas sales and heads to Fruit Logistica and BIOFACH 2026

3 February 2026

The 100% Italian premium green kiwi is strengthening its presence in foreign markets and preparing to meet the international trade

Dulcis™, the 100% Italian premium green kiwi, will be at Fruit Logistica (Berlin), the international trade fair for the fresh produce sector, from 4 to 6 February 2026. Trade professionals and buyers will be able to sample the kiwi and learn more about the technical and commercial details of the fruit at the partners' stands: Alegra (A-10, Hall 2.2)Apofruit Italia (A-40, Hall 2.2) and, for organic produce, at the Canova stand (A-40, Hall 2.2)

After the appointment in Berlin, Dulcis™ will also attend BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic products, taking place in Nuremberg from 10 to 13 February 2026, at Almaverde Bio’s stand (Stand 4-415, Hall 4), to meet buyers and industry professionals and showcase Dulcis™’s offering for the organic segment.

Participation in Fruit Logistica and BIOFACH comes during a phase of rapid development for Dulcis™. In the current 2025/26 season, fruit sales are achieving results that exceed expectations, driven by an increase in both cultivated acreage and available volumes. This evolution has allowed Dulcis™ to consolidate its presence in the Italian market while simultaneously supporting a carefully-planned expansion outside the domestic market.

This growth story was recently shared in Bologna during Dulcis Night, an event that brought together buyers, journalists and industry stakeholders, alongside representatives from the fields of research and marketing. The trade get-together provided an opportunity to review and discuss the brand's current status and future prospects; data and analysis presented during the event confirmed high levels of consumer satisfaction and growing interest from fresh produce businesses, reinforcing the positioning of Dulcis™ within the premium green kiwi segment.

In addition to consolidating its position in Italy, Dulcis™ is sharpening its international focus. The variety has already been added to produce aisles in PortugalSpainScandinavia and the United Kingdom, with regular programmes launched with several retailers. A significant step beyond Europe has now been added: Dulcis™ is arriving on shelves in the United Arab Emiratesstarting with Dubai, opening new opportunities in a strategic region for premium consumption and international trade.

“Germany is one of the most important markets for the growth of Dulcis™, and Fruit Logistica in Berlin is a strategic event for us: it is the ideal opportunity to strengthen our ties with the German trade and, more broadly, to demonstrate the international scale the brand is reaching. Following the initial feedback from test supplies, we want to build a more structured and continuous presence, consistent with the growth in acreage and volumes, and with the goal of making Dulcis™ increasingly available beyond Italian borders,” says Mirco Montefiori, President of Dulcis Kiwifruit Company.

Developed by bio-science enterprise New Plant in collaboration with the University of Udine and the University of Bologna, Dulcis™ is a green-fleshed kiwi distinguished by a unique flavour profile. It is characterised by high sweetnessjuiciness and a harmonious balance between sugars and acidity, combined with resilience and adaptability to Mediterranean climate conditions.

Exclusively distributed by Alegra (the commercial arm of Apo Conerpo), Apofruit Italia and Orogel Fresco, Dulcis™ arrives at Fruit Logistica 2026 as a commercial venture that originated in Italy, but is now increasingly international. It is ready to engage with buyers and the wider trade from different markets, supported by a growing production base, consistent quality and a long-term development strategy.
