Agrofood East Africa Exhibition 2026 – a platform for the development of the agro-food sector in East Africa

10 March 2026

On 14–16 August 2026, the Agrofood East Africa Exhibition 2026 will take place at the Addis International Convention Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The international event is dedicated to agriculture, food processing, beverages, and packaging technologies, bringing together manufacturers, technology suppliers, distributors, and industry professionals from around the world. The exhibition aims to create a platform for cooperation within the rapidly developing agro-food market in East Africa.

A rapidly growing market with strong potential

Ethiopia is one of the largest food markets in Africa. In 2025, the value of food imports reached USD 2.36 billion, including mainly wheat, pulses, and cooking oil. At the same time, the country is expanding its food processing sector through investments in agro-industrial zones, modernization of production, and incentives for foreign investors.

Agriculture plays a key role in Ethiopia’s economy, contributing about 35% of GDP and employing more than 65% of the population. The country is a major producer of coffee, cereals, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, and livestock products. However, only a small share of agricultural production is currently processed locally, creating significant opportunities for companies offering processing technologies and solutions for the food industry.

An international business platform

Organizers expect the participation of more than 100 exhibitors and over 5,000 professional visitors from at least eight countries, making Agrofood East Africa one of the key industry events in the region.

The exhibition offers opportunities to meet importers, distributors, manufacturers, and representatives of the FMCG sector, opening doors for new business partnerships and investment opportunities in the East African market.

A wide range of exhibition sectors
