The tenth and final day of the anniversary edition of Grüne Woche 2026 is marked by special ceremonies, sporting excitement and culinary discoveries. Even the most wonderful anniversaries must eventually come to an end – but the organisers have ensured that the last day of the fair is filled with symbolic moments and attractive experiences for visitors.
At 11:00 a.m., an ecumenical service will be held at EventFarm, led by the General Superintendent of Berlin, representatives of the Archdiocese of Berlin and Berliner Tafel e.V. This is the first time that the Grüne Woche anniversary is being celebrated with such a special spiritual accent.
Following the service, visitors can look forward to an intensive programme of events. Hippologica is entering its decisive phase – Hall 25 will host the final rounds of show jumping, the combined obstacle course and hobby horsing competitions. Horse lovers will also be able to enjoy spectacular displays such as the “Hungarian Post” and appearances by British Shire horses, the largest horse breed in the world.
On the Grüne Woche stage (Hall 27), exhibitor teams will compete in a spectacular sawing duel, while the fair’s partner state, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, will give away 25 regional products to mark its 25 years of participation in Grüne Woche.
Wine, cuisine and relaxation – flavours of Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg
Wine has been an integral part of Grüne Woche for decades – since 1935, the wine village has attracted connoisseurs from around the world. On the final day, Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg will present selected wines, including those from the historic Schlossmühle Dr. Höfer winery with 250 years of tradition. Renowned TV chef Eberhard Braun will also perform live with his culinary show “So schmeckt Baden-Württemberg” (“This is how Baden-Württemberg tastes”), accompanied by tastings of regional specialities.
Culinary dialogue between cultures
Grüne Woche is also a place of cultural encounters. This year, visitors can enjoy handmade alfajores prepared by an Italian-Argentinian couple, as well as traditional Peruvian dishes and pisco served by a Peruvian couple. Their stories of love, migration and passion for cooking create the unique atmosphere of the fair.
Video of the day
To mark the end of the anniversary edition, the organisers present a special video in which guests share their most memorable experiences from Grüne Woche over the decades and explain why the fair continues to be an important annual highlight for them.
