Reduce give-away with the DTS-V weighing solution

9 June 2019

Simplicity is a concept that is central to the DTS-V weighing solution. Thanks to the one-of-a-kind LED Bar, users only have to follow the specific unit indication. Is the LED bar showing -3? Then the user has to remove three pieces of the product. There is quite a variation in weight. Just think of a cherry tomato versus a truss of large tomatoes.

The LED can also be programmed for any type of product. It can also be shown whether the product must be small (L), average (A) or large in size. Practice shows that, by using the LED indication, unnecessary handling of the product is prevented from an early stage already. A number of LRE's clients have already had a 25% increase in production. This, while using the same staff.

In 1998, the Dutch company, LRE, introduced its DTS-III scale. This is a cluster selection scale consisting of various scales and an indicator light. The DTS-III automatically calculates from which scale products need to be removed. It also gives a light indication. The scale was installed at various Dutch and overseas clients. Shortly hereafter it quickly became clear that give-away could be reduced within a very short time. This could be done by using 'smart weighing'.

After years of further development and close contact with clients, LRE introduced its DTS-V series in 2014. This is a unique scale equipped with various innovative modules. These optimize the product and labor.

Productivity module

The ease of weighing has already often come to the fore at various clients. "We have reduced the time a new worker needs to reach a good ability to weigh products from two weeks to only five days. We did this by simply following the indication on the LED bar", says one of LRE's clients.

Performance module
The productivity module is aimed at optimizing the product. Besides this, the DTS-V is also fitted with a performance module. This module was specially developed to motive workers and optimize labor. A colored smiley face on the display gives the user a real-time indication of whether a preset standard is being met. The smiley face is adjusted from time to time based on a set standard.

At the Fruit Attraction LRE is in hall 10, stand number 10A04D.
