The sector has generated $2.3–$4.1 billion in spending and broadcasting revenue, with up to $2.4 billion contributing to GDP. By 2030, sports tourism is projected to make up 4%–10% of total tourism revenue, reaching up to $1.07 billion annually.
As part of its national tourism strategy, Qatar is investing $45+ billion by 2030 to attract 6 million annual visitors and enhance tourism’s GDP impact.
